Pleased to meet you too, Drake! That's an interesting statement. If you really make an effort to do that, while not losing yourself from trying to please everyone, then it's certainly possible. :) I must say, I'm glad you've read the rules! It's always great to take the initiative as a new member.
If you're wondering how things work here, then you might find it best to get a mentor at the
Adoption Center to help you out. That mentor will be an expert of the area you'd most want to explore and know more about, and he or she will gladly take you in and answer all your questions about it. And if you want a good tip to know this forum more, certain sections have stickied threads on top, which contain the section's own set of rules and other important stuff to read. Try making it a habit to read those too so you know how that section works. :D And of course, you can't restrict yourself to a single area. If you look around the entire site and see what interests you, then I believe you'll eventually see how the forum works and have more fun in the process.
Since you mentioned battling, what kind of battling do you do? The
Battle Center would be a good place to check out. There's material for competitive battling there, too, although if you're more of a casual battler then its own
Quick Battle Requests thread should do the trick, if ever you had the itch to battle.
Anyway, welcome to the forums, Drake! I hope you'll try to stay active and have as much fun as possible.
