5th Gen Iris in the Games / New commercials discussion

well yeah it sort of looks like Dragonite in teh head, but other than that not so much. Perhaps it's another pokemon, one not revealed yet? A legendary?!

Well the video proves that Iris will be in the Games so no need to be Skeptical :)
Well the fossil might be that of the Legendaries, remember the Diaga/Palkia statue in DPPt where it was a combo of both maybe it's like that...

Or it may as well be the new fossil pokémon. If you take a look at the background and surroundings of the screenshot, it looks similar to a museum. The pokémon is also on a display with a sign in front of it and since it is a skeleton, that leads me to my theory of it being the next new fossil pokémon. If you recall back in FireRed and LeafGreen, they had a place where you could check out the fossils on display in which were Kabutops and Omaster. So maybe in this case, the museum (if it happens to be one) is displaying a new fossil pokémon for the games.

If this is the case, I wonder if they would have two different fossils for the two games. Like how, Cranidos was a Diamond exclusive and Shieldon was a Pearl exclusive. One of them would be exclusive for White and the other for Black. :) However I'm expecting that anyway.

Maybe it evolves again? Evolving at lvl 8 seems pretty early for Minezumi.

It may be Iris, but I bet money that her name isn't Iris. It's like saying Red (from the games) is the same as Red (from the manga). They aren't.

Well considering her hair colour... calling her Purple? D: She'll ttly be Gen 5's Red, so purple does sort of make sense...if she is Gen 5's Red. XD;

The characters can have the same names; Lyra (the female playable character from HG/SS) was in the anime for a while, was she not? They can look the same and have the same names, but the character in the anime will NOT be the same character as the one in the games.

There's also May as well. So personally I think it is actually Iris, and she's just there for a cameo and that's it.
 
Lots of Pokemon Overworld sprites in this video. At one point did the player turn into a Machop to play with the girl in the HighLink?

i hope she battles you,i wanna see Kibago/its evos whoop ass!

i am LOVING gen5, these trainers just added even more excitement for me

but has anyone noticed, there hasnt been a single Cut tree, or Rock Smash-able Rock :surprised:
 
Good to know we can still see overworld sprites in some form.

Hmm...I wonder if Iris is part of a Blackthorn-like Dragon clan...

Yeah thats true, and the fact that tms are reusable, it could mean no more hms, :DDD

I would be soo. Happy, no more having to bring up a crappy pokemon to an important fight, we can just have some tm's ready for them to learn. But about iris. I like the fact that she will be in the games. And Yes. She does seem like the kind of person like silver that could be an acomplice in the whole sha-bang.

If she is the protagonist of the anime I doubt she could be a part of evil team, unless she is a spy in anime :P

Haha O_O, Why not. Well maybe not. But i mean in the geames she might not be iris, she might just be "That girl" But yeah i get what you're saying.
 
Well looks like Doryuuzu is the hippowdon of 5th gen due to the entirely different color in it's genders. Male is black and female is brown and the pattern on their stomach's is opposite.
