Is Brock black?

Well, he's definately not black. Just look at his eyes. Even his Japanese name, Takeshi, is a very stereotypical one in Japan. I'd say he's either some sort of East Asian (perhaps from Korea or southern Japan?) or South(east) Asian.

He's asian. I think that's why his eyes seem to always be closed too.

brock black??? duh!! 1. every episode hes trying to get women 2. nappy hair 3. brock minus (ro) plus (la) equals black!! so haha hes either black like me or blackineese

LOL just this question makes me laugh!

I personally think hes just really tan. Not black. Look at him one more time. Is he really black? No.

This is the kind of thread that many people find rude and offensive. Dark skin does not only lead to African Americans. Slanted eyes do not on appear on people of Asian decent. I think we should be careful with the way we word things here.

Maybe back in the day, but people are a lot more tolerable about these things than before.

Anyways, he's not black. He's just a tanned individual that can't seem to open his eyes all the way XD

He is a tanned Japanese. And, he can open his eyes because, as Larvitar knows, he can open his eyes. Here:

Spoiler:

I don't see why people think this is racism. It is just asking what ethnic origin Takeshi is. Well, I personally think he is a tanned Japanese.

No matter how many times I have seen that pic ...it is still scary XD

I would say he is Japanese.

I don't see jerry curls, corn rows or an afro, instead spiky hair. So he's asian, or Pewterian. Just tan as heck.

Now the definition of black varies from country to country. Since the one-drop rule is only used in the United States.

I have doubt that Brock is of African descent. He could be just a tan and he also has a Japanese name which is Takeshi though he could be Afro-Asian but there are very limited of amount of people of African descent that live in Japan. According to wikipedia there is less than 10,000 people of African descent that live there and entirer population of Japan is approximately 127,756,815 according to wikipedia as well. You also have to keep in mind that there are dark skin Asians as well in Central, South Asia, Indonesia, and Oceania as well and he could also be mixed with one of those ethnic groups as well as Japanese, but as I said earlier a lack of diversity in Japan.

I dindnt know that all black people wore these hair styles! Thanks for telling us this. I guess we now know that he is officially Asian because no one else uses hair gel to spike their hair but Asians. :/

Some people of that are Black and/or African descent do not wear there hair like that it is just a stereotype that is shown in fiction and thing as hair relaxer and straighting comb does exist.

If anybody has seen the picture of his eyes opened then you will notice he has Asian eyes since mostly there eyes are mostly squinted (NOT BEING RACIST) and he has a Black/Asian type skin or maybe even a tan.

It isn't racist at all. It, as I said, is just saying what his ethnic origin is. It isn't racist at all.
