4th Gen Is Game Freak spoiling too much about these games?

Big deal, it was the first game to have a place where you go and battle that way. W/e if it's frontier or tower.

There is a difference between a Battle Tower and Battle Frontier. One being a Frontier is more of a group of battle facilities with different Frontier Brains leading them. Each facility has its own rules of battling making it different everytime for the player, while the Battle Tower has kept its same battling style since Crystal.

So, there is a deal between the two as well as difference. Releasing the news on it returning however was to show the improvements of the game since the original Crystal. Like said before it was also a way to attract the players, more so those who fancy the Battle Frontier so they'll know they have a new challenge waiting ahead. It extended the idea of the Battle Tower for players to compete against, and because of its popularity, having it known to make an entrance for the Johto would give fans the hype to purchase the game even more.

I just say, it's not a spoiler that there is a battle system of that kind, because something similar was already in Crystal. Then it's quite expected they'll put it, or an improvement of it, the Battle Frontier (instead of Tower). There is a difference, sure, I know that. But the difference wasn't big enough to say anything was spoiled, IMO. Especially after we got some kind of a Battle building even in FRLG. And that's what the other guy who quoted me didn't understand...

Nah, I really don't think it's spoiling too much. To me, the more fun parts of the game will be being able to play again, of course, and all the subtle little changes from the original, which Gamefreak would never bother to spoil. Plus a lot of the stuff was somewhat expected, like Eusine, Battle Frontier, and several other "spoilers" that weren't mentioned here, like Apricorns.

I dont think the stuff that you list is really considered "spoiling" its just showing the basics of the game

The more things they spoil about this game, the more people will want to buy it. It's a pretty good strategy. But still, there are some people that don't go on forums and sites like Serebii, so they won't know about any of this until the release of the game. Some people probably didn't even know about HG/SS until it was announced on the official site.

If you don't want spoilers about the game, don't go looking for them.
Or, just stay away from this part of the forums like I do. Wait, why am I even here?...

You took the time and effort to correct him on his ,istake so why dont you or one of the mods change the title?

Anyway, Im fine with the amount that has been revealed. They gotta get us to by them some how.

I find it hilarious how most of us haven't thought of this: There's still probably a few more surprises. They're not gonna reveal every last detail about the games are they? There's probably some big and subtle surprises that won't be revealed until Japan plays the game. So, they're not spoiling it, they're beefing it up to

a. apologise for FR/LG
b. Make it better than G/S

Well of course there is gonna be more surprises. They won't tell everything right away.

And
a. Apologize? It's not like that game was bad.
b. Well of course it's going to be better. It's a remake, not a port.

I think they have spoiled a little bit too much, but not enough to complain about it. I would have much rather preferred if they hadnt shown so many towns and cities, as I like to play the game and be surprised as I walk into the next town.

Thats to be expected though, and there's still a bunch of places like Olivine that they haven't showed so it's not too bad.

I agree with GymLeaderLily (love your commenting style btw).
There is still a lot that is unknown. The Battle Frontier is almost completely unknown, except for a few routes and old Platinum artwork. Just like Kanto.
I would actually love to see another trailer before the release, with more of Kanto.

Would you say that Game Freak is spoiling too much about these games?

Game Freak has given out a lot of information about these games over the past few months, and some of it has been really surprising stuff, like...

Spoiler:
Do you think that surprises like these should have been left a secret until the game was released? Would the surprises have been more enjoyable if we'd found them out by ourselves rather than by reading about them on the internet, and would the games have been more fun as a result? I personally think that they would have been, but unfortunately I only just realised that.

By the way, I didn't make this topic just to complain about spoilers. I want to know what you think. Do you like the fact that Game Freak has released so many spoilers, or would you have preferred it if they'd remained more tight-lipped?

They should not have let our the air (which means spill the secret). I wanted to wait until Spring of 2010 to find out the "surprises". It would be a really good suspense.

I would prefer to keep them secret, cause now that i know all these wonderful things(exceppt the battle frontier) i can not wait until spring 2010!

I want to be spoiled. Only one more month. Just one more month...my patience is burning...

Speaking of the Battle Frontier, even though it is known to make an appearance in the remake, like said, much known information about it hasn't been revealed. Currently, players are speculating on whether or not the Battle Frontier in Johto will be the same as that of Platinum or if it'll be of its own. So, whether it is the same or not, if further information besides knowing it will be included in the game isn't released, then Nintendo has kept its limits on knowing how to attract their customers, but still keep things for the game confidential.

The More Information/Pics/Spoilers ect. released, the more people want to buy it.

^This post above, in short, explains why Nintendo advertises so much on the game. It is simply because the more fans know, the more they become excited, and the more they have the erge to purchase the game.

A perfect example of one becoming overly anxious for the game by all the revieled information is quoted below. Even though some may want things to remain at a low scale, they still enoy the news and eagerly wait for the time of the game's release.
