Pokémon (and nintendo, respectively) haven't got as huge of a grip on the video game market as they used to, so I think they may be expecting the game to not sell as well as some of their previous titles.
I've seen far too many reviews claiming "Same game, same simple story" etc. where they are failing to realise that the Pokémon series isn't majorly a story orientated RPG, and if they were to drastically change too much they'd have angry fans.
Anyway, my major point is they're trying to promote the new features to make people actually BUY the game, rather than just say "Eugh another pokemon game, no way".

A perfect example of one becoming overly anxious for the game by all the revieled information is quoted below. Even though some may want things to remain at a low scale, they still enoy the news and eagerly wait for the time of the game's release.
Αre you saying this for good or bad?You agree with my opinion or not?
They're just revealing the information for it very quickly, that's all. They reveal a lot about the other Pokémon games before, just with this the information if coming out quicker.
Well of course there is gonna be more surprises. They won't tell everything right away.
And
a. Apologize? It's not like that game was bad.
b. Well of course it's going to be better. It's a remake, not a port.
