Is Generation 8 coming in 2019?

    Are we going to actually get the Generation 8 games for Nintendo Switch in 2019 or is it only speculation? The mainline Pok?mon games are only going to come out for the Switch from now on and not the 3DS? The Switch is technically taking the 3DS's place as Nintendo's main handheld?

    It's apparently been said by TPCi that the Switch game will be "an entirely new experience featuring new Pokemon", which implies a new generation.

    US/UM is very likely to be the last Pokemon games for the 3DS yeah. 3DS is getting to be relatively old hardware now and Nintendo would probably rather focus on its new gaming system.
     
    They released the Switch over a year ago(18+ months) and being that its a hybrid handheld/console, its the next generation of Nintendo hardware. Therefore, the fact its been out that long, its about time Pokemon make its mark with first Let's GO(with Alolan variants from USUM making it possible) and then Generation 8 the following year. I mean they could make it for both Switch and 3DS but why do that? Its far more practical to keep it to one platform while also giving people an incentive to buy a Switch if they haven't already for other titles(like Smash or Breath of the Wild).

    Real question: What Zelda title is next?
