4th Gen Is it Possible to get a Fire/Water Stone before the Elite 4?

    I want to evolve my Growlithe and Staryu before I face the Elite 4.

    If I can't get one, could someone maybe trade me one?

    You apsolutly can. Get about 2500 points (each) in the Pokeathalon, and show up on Monday and Tuesday, Respectively (I think those are they days those particular stones are on sale) And buy them with your points

    Thats one of my favorite improvements made to H/S, as in the origionals you'd have to wait till you got to Bill's grandfathers house in Kanto

    DPPt - The Underground, Fuego Ironworks, Solaceon Ruins(Plat).
    HGSS - School Kid Alan(Route 36), Bug Catching Contest First Place Prize, Pokeathlon Dome(Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday), Warm Beach 5000+ steps(Very Rare)

    Water Stone
    DPPt - The Underground, Route 213, Solaceon Ruins(Plat)
    HGGS - Fisher Tully (Route 32), Bug Catching Contest First Place Prize, Beyond the Sea (Attached to Staryu 5000+ steps, Rare), Pokeathlon Dome(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)
