Is it possible to trade from Gold to Emerald? I've read that it can't be done but also that it can be done. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

    I don't think that's possible.

Nope. Not unless you're t3h ub3r h4x0rz. Otherwise, I don't see how you could. But what site says you can?

Probably a misread; you can obtain many pokemon from G/S/C in Emerald in the wild, not trading.

Like all the people above said, its impossible!!, and whoever said that you can, he's lying

If you ever have doubts, check the instruction booklet. This is from FireRed's instruction booklet.

    Pokemon FireRed Instruction Booklet said:
It is not possible for this game to communicate with the Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, or Crystal Versions.

This is written in the instruction booklet for FR, LG, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. It is also stated on Serebii that the advance gen link cable has a different way of sending data which would not compute with the older games and vice-versa.

In short, as it was stated above, no you cannot trade from G to E.

I think it's safe to say that the question has been answered in this thread and it no longer needs to remain open for discussion. XD
