is it possible to get Sms roms working without an emulator? what i mean is will games work without it?

Sms software would use different machine-code to work on sn sms, not a computer (possibly with an x86 processor.) Emulators are here for this purpose. They emulate the sms's processor and hardware so that machine-language for sms works with a pc.

Can someone explain what an SMS is?
We're allowed to talk about emulation since obviously it goes on, but we can't provide or link to illegal ROMs. If they're original freeware ROMs then we can provide those, I believe.

You need an emulator to *play* a ROM. That's the point. The ROM is just a datafile. The emulator is what decodes the data to run the game. So yes, you need an emulator, and no, you can't play a ROM without an emulator. o_O
