I'm just starting out with Pokemon, because my kid is getting interested in it and I'd like to be able to play with him. So I don't really have much background, apologies for asking stupid questions, etc...
I picked up the Green Tornado and Blue Assault decks so we could play against each other. But my initial reaction is that Blue Assault has literally zero chance to ever win, since virtually every Green card has resistance to water (Deerling, Pansage, Petilil, Snivy, Servine, Serperior), while blue has no resistance against green. So Blue has -20 to virtually every attack, and since that's about all the damage that basic pokemon do, it means he gets no damage until at least one evolves, and by then it's too late. Am I missing something?
Or are you just not meant to play starter decks against each other?
