I just thought there should be a thread to discuss how much more powerful Pokemon Such as Miltank (and others) have become, since the previous generations.

for instance. I just owned almost 3 of the elite 4 with a level 47 Miltank -.-

    Earhquake
    Milkdrink
    Strength
    Zen headbutt

Ponyta and Rapidash have gotten a pretty good overhaul since Generation I. They've gotten a very wide movepool that, with the right nature, could make them some pretty good sweepers.

lol I Beat a level 75 team on Wifi with a level 50 Miltank go figure

Omg, never thought that someone would put up a Miltank against the E4.
No offence, I like that cow. It's only that people rarely use it..

Yeah, I don't see why anyone would decide to use it either. But then again, the only reason people don't is because it began to fade and stop sticking out :/

ive always been a fan of Miltank, and Rapidash for that matter, especially the shinies of each. :P

But not an overexaggeration, Miltank is a TANK.. It has tons of HP, a big movepool, albeit its Sp.attack isnt too good, but that moveset i had gave me something against everyone.

I think one pokemon which Changed LOTS in Gen IV is Gyarados. The whole Physical/special move split made it either extremely effective or extremely poor.

Moves it previously took as its own-Hyper beam, Hydro pump- are now almost useless in exchange for waterfall and giga impact.

You can beat the game with near anything .__.
    I like Exeggutor and Cloyster.

    Lol, your icon xD
I've never even owned one. And even if I could catch it, I wouldn't. This pokemon just doesn't catch my attention =P But it's still cute though..

    You can?xD

Q: Is Miltank an ingame God?
A: No. But a Smeargle boy with Milk Drink is hilarious.

Blame it on the Move Tutors. I do.

(I'm looking at you, Magic Coat & Super Fang)

As above has said, you can beat the game with anything.
Miltank was more useful in G/S/C than in D/P/Pt.
It decreased in rank with better Pokemon introduced across the generations.
It's a great UU Pokemon in D/P/Pt but not as great as some of the newer Pokemon in the higher ranks.

Miltank sounds awesome.Out of Emerald,LeafGreen is there an easy way to get one in-game??

Well, miltank is technically a cow. so if your hindu or whatever, it is sort of a pokemon god...

Miltank can be strong!! Just use it correctly. I have EV trained miltank with a lot of speed. xD

A miltank huh, not my first choice, but I bet it could be a super leet tank.

Huh, who knew previously weak Pokemon have gotten dramatically stronger?

Actually, it's possible to beat the Elite Four with almost any Pokemon. (excluding Magikarp)

I've always selected a kitty Pokemon as my Normal type, so I've never used Miltank. Almost considered it in Silver, though, after nearly being destroyed by Whitney's. Her Miltank can seem like a god if you go in there with the wrong Pokemon.

And yes, you can beat the game with nearly anything. I beat Pearl once (as part of a challenge) with (among other Pokemon) a Chimecho and Pachirisu.
