Is The Battle Agency The New PWT?

    From the new trailer that was released very recently, there is now a new addition called the "Battle Agency", and it reminded me a lot of the PWT from Black and White 2. Rental systems (in the PWT it was only for one tournament), and fighting gym leaders there, the similarities are too apparent to just simply look over. What do you guys think?

    I hope that the rentals are optional. I always have the worst luck with them, especially in the Battle Factory. If it's balanced, I'll be fine with it.
     
    I personally don't mind rentals, but that's because I know using my own team would most likely make things a bit easier than intended; using rentals would at least help me strategize a bit more on how to use certain Pokemon when I get them. :o
     
    It does seem to bring back two of the main PWT features - rental/randomized? teams and battling in-game notable characters. I sunk a ton of hours into the world tournament so hopefully it'll be something similar, but I really can't say for sure with the minimal footage we've seen.

    I think that the Battle Tree was a step up in terms of difficulty, as I use my comp team and barely made it to the 30th battle in Super Singles. Rentals would definitely be more of a challenge, and kinda like what you said, it makes you strategize on the fly. It could also give people ideas on what pokemon to use on their own teams. I mainly use the Battle Tree to test out my teams anyways.
     
    I thought it was more akin to the Battle Factory, but there is probably more to it than we know. Perhaps a mix of both?

    If this is true, I wonder if they'll have Red and Blue there too. I mean, they kinda are in charge of the BT after all.
     
    I'd say it definitely resembles the Battle Factory more. However the same original March leak that predicted a ton of things that have now been confirmed, namedropped the PWT alongside the Factory.

    The battle background in this picture from the Mantine Surf reveal trailer looks incredibly similar to the PWT and we haven't gotten any info about it yet. It's definitely a facility of some sort if you compare it to the Agency but looking at the Grassium Z logo, it reminds me of the type specialist tournaments from the PWT.

    Sophocles was honestly the worst and most funny trial captain, but he's far from my favorite. Who knows? Maybe they only shows Sophocles because maybe he had a part in building the facility? Idk. It's a stretch.

    That would be amazing if they brought back monotype tournaments. Could it be a new addition to the Battle Royale, or the Battle Agency itself?

    I doubt it. If you compare the battlefields, you'll see that it's a brand new place. The monotype symbol & stage lights lead me to believe it's the PWT mentioned in the leak

    Ah I gotcha. Hm, interesting. Even if it isn't the PWT, I'm sure it'll be something of the sort.
