It's probably the same database it's connecting to.

I don't know if there are any extra features; perhaps the ability to filter out some of the crazy offers, but probably not.

well theplatinium is like the emerald for the ruby and saphira just like ive posted a LOT on other themes .. but its just that its kinda of a.. like a.. "" UPGRADE """ bu it aint so .... i dont really think it is ... in MY opininon.. its just diferent music graphics not story i just think about it that way as a " upgrade""

It's really a shame that they didn't add the ability to see moves, stats and natures. That would have really made the GTS. As it is, it's rather useless, as you can't use it to get anything you haven't seen and if you can get the pokemon, you don't know what you're getting.
