    According to Coro Coro, the might be. You know Red/Green, Gold/Silver, Ruby/Sapphire all have sequels (Blue, Crystal, Emerald)? The same will happen to Diamond/Pearl. THe game is scheduled to be released in 2008. THIS IS NOT A JOKE! Serebii has the rest of the news, but I summed up most of it.

    that...... can't be right. it MUST be Johto's remake... it MUST!
     
    Sorry, but it is now confirmed to be (small chances) a fifth generation pokemon.
     
    Well, there may be a remake of G/S and im sure there will be a national dex.
    But as for the sequal, i have heard it was Opal version, featuring Giratina.
    We'll see, we never know for sure
