Is This A 'Shadowless' Card?

    Hey guys,

I'm just in the process of going through all my Pokemon cards I collected as a youngster as I was looking to make a bit of spare cash on eBay by selling some of them.

I came across the following cards (as shown in uploaded photos), and was just wondering if they're classed as 'shadowless'. I only ask, because they seem to be lighter in colour than my other energy cards and they both have 1st Edition stamps. I also noticed that they are selling upwards of $80 on eBay, which is why I am curious.

    Thank you.

I don't think so, that's a Gym Challenge/Gym Heroes logo on the bottom of the card I believe. They're first edition though, but I don't think they're worth much.

Definitely not Shadowless. The only shadowless cards are from the Base Set, and only from 1st Edition runs. I'm not even sure it's possible for the Energy cards to actually be "shadowless", as, iirc, none of my 1st Edition Base Set Energy actually looked any different from their counterparts that were not 1st Edition Base Set Energy.

Also, protip: best way to price a card to move while still getting fair value is to analyze the completed listings for the card that have actually sold on eBay, rather than just looking at the Buy It Now price of currently posted listings. $80 is also completely obscene for a 1st Edition Base Set energy card.

Great, thanks a lot. That helps.

Is it OK to post price requests on these forums, as I have several others that I may like to ask about in the future if I can't find any info online.

    There's a thread for those:

It's probably best to limit it to 4 card price requests at a time. I found I personally burned out on wanting to help with valuations very quickly if there were too many requests at once. Granted, the only resource I tend to use is eBay's completed listings, myself. There's a few other pricing sources, but they're not as responsive or as easy to search as eBay's completed listings. And AFAIK, there's been no Beckett equivalent for prices for years.
