is this the end of pokemon generations?

    well this thread is mainly for my friend, but we were wondering what people's opinions are on this. since there are already 493 pokemon it seems like gamefreak is running out of ideas..i mean look at poor probopass...and drifblim (very little detail to it). it says that Arceus (#493) is the god of all pokemon and created the pokemon world, etc. Palkia and Dialga are the gods of space and time...WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO RULE OVER? is anybody getting what i'm saying?

    if anybody knows of ANY offical website from gamefreak,nintendo,etc....that says something about future games (if there are any) please list them here
     
    Pokemon is too popular to just run out of ideas, look back on the previous generations, you'll find a few badly done pokemon there as well, and the reason for so many new evo's for old pokemon is because people ask for them. Yanmega and Froslass look awesome, while others don't look as great. As for drifblim I don't think he was badly done at all.

    EDIT: if actually NEEDED they could just go out and take the best FAKEMON ideas from around the net. I would let Nintendo use my ideas for free if I made a good fakemon dex.
     
    I don´t want to see new Pokémon. There are just too much.
    They don´t have more ideas (I´ve counted it, 29 of the 4th generation Poks are just pre evos or evos of older ones -.-)
    I hope they make games with new stories (Collosseum was a nice start, BUT THEY COULD DO IT BETTER). F%&§& tthe "God" of all Pokémon. Mew IS and WAS the only Perfect Mega super master Pokémon!!! (Celeby is nice, but Mew ROX)

    trust me. in NO WAY is this the end of Pokémon. to dump a Franchise that makes as money as it does would be a stupid on Nintendo and Game Freak's part. with a Fan Base in the millions (and probably even the billions), they wouldn't get rid of it. besides, i've heard through the grape vine that the creator has a list of at least 1,000 sketches of Pokémon that have yet to be released. :D
     
    Well they have enough money to make 5th generation games.

    As long they have money, Nintendo will keep pokemon popular and force new pokemon i the game anyway. I'd do it. As long they have money, they can make more pokemon. Although the negative side of me says that, they can't make anymore legendaries, like there is already:

    Creator
    Time
    Space
    Land
    Sea
    Sky
    Ancestor
    Knowledge
    Emotion
    Willpower
    Volcanoes
    Nightmare

    and many more so....I really don't know up to this point.
     
    well I doubt this is an end to the generations just it will be years until the 5th comes around since pokemon started it was not a big deal but now today it is like one of the biggest things I don';t think gamefreak is going to stop.

    They can't use sny Idea they found just like that. People would sue them -.-

    As for me, I think the next gen. will come in 2011...far, far away...
     
    I don't want new pokemon; I want new regions or all of them put together.
     
    I dont think you realize this but there milking this series out of every dime they can get, I mean remakes of games that werent that old, 9 movies, a tv series. if anything else theyll keep remaking them oiver and over, im expecting at least 1000 pokemon.

    Nintendo.

    Nintendo won't be letting this franchise die anytime soon. They will beat it like a dead horse, and probably get Tajiri-San to help comeup with some new pokemon. So that they can spin that up into a big deal aswell. Since NIntendo is trying to whoop on Sony and Microsoft atm, and are. They will and are working on some new pokemon games, mainly for the Wii, but with the success of DP. There will probably be new pokemon being made for omfg and wtf versions of pokemon in the next few months. They will spring some around Decemeber, to try to reup sales of DP and PBR, for Christmas.

    Then announce next year new Pokemon versions OMFG and WTF, around May.

    Oh yeah, and I personally need a remake of GSC, Crystal and Silver lost their battery power. Lost my Ubder Scizor ; ; So we got those to assume will make it out in awhiles. Also we also have the uber version of DP that is probably being made for Christmas. You know like Yellow, Crystal and Emerald were. They didnt even ever mention Emerald before they released it, least I never heard. Then BAMM.. awesome pokemon game imo.

    Well I hear Pokemon Opal is being made, Thing like the 4th gen equivlent of Crystal or Emerald (Or Japanese blue as Red and Green were the basic ones), I hear its going to have Giratina on the cover. And yes, A DS version of Gold/Silver would be great.

    Especially if it were trade compatible with d/p. It would make gettting Totodile, Cyndiquil, Chikorita, Lugia and Ho-ho possible for me to get considering i dont have wifi nemore. It would also help me get Entei and suicune so i didnt have to play fire red over twice to get them.

    Reffering to the ds version of gold and silver. not opal

    they can always use what they got. i would love to see a game where you can play through all four regions. and what about the orange islands? they never made it to a game, and i think they would be fun too

    I totally agree, i liked the system in silver where you could go to kanto.

    Not really.

    I don't wanna see next generation because it will be a really heavy one. Pokemon was the most cool at it very first two generations. Now, it starts to bore me. I'm not going to continue my Pokemon interest to Generation V. My enthusiasm about Pokemon is falling down since RS.

    Shoot I would trade everybody over to the G/S remake instead of sending them to D/P. I like G/S alot.
     
    What I would really like is for them to quit making a million new Pokemon (they don't need to) and instead start using Pokemon from all the generations and put more into the storyline. I loved some of the old stories from the first generations (like the Pokemon Academy/ or the mean Sandshrew trainer who had his own gym).
