What are some subjects you'd like the Pokemon Anime to touch up on that aren't exactly known to be ~kid friendly~? Pokemon's already tackled death a bit, but there are many other unprofound topics in Pokemon. I know they won't touch up on a few things like the real X/Y game plots (because it takes place in France, etc), but.

Pokemon diamond and pearl. Remember them? they had Cyrus trying to create a new world and he tried to kill you, which in my opinion isn't very kid-friendly. And while I am at it, what about the B/W and B2/W2 games? Ghetsis fused pokemon and N could hear the heart of one of them inside the other. And Ghetsis tried to kill you as well. Idk, but the unova saga was quite questionable in some parts.

Here , Japanese version was way less Kid-friendly

    Spoiler:

Romance and harem and pornography. A topic enjoyed by many teens :flirt:

Ignore the joke, to reply it more seriously, this shall be my list of the topics and themes that I hope Pokemon Anime to touch more deeply upon:

    1) The pain of pokemons during the battles, the risks and potential dangers of both pokemons and trainers during the battle, and the sympathy of trainer towards the injured pokemons. (Death is not necessarily need to be included, but it should be alluded that it is the ultimate result of severally injured pokemon)
    2) The many different diverse feelings and thinkings of pokemons under ownership of many different kinds of trainers. There are some trainers who think pokemons are friends and family, yet there are some who thinks pokemons are subordinate and companions, some also thinks pokemons are tools and weapons. Under the ownership of many different kinds of trainer, what were the pokemons thinking? Why do they follow such trainers? Why do they listen to their commands? Why do they not wanted to retaliate? This is something we seldom touch upon just like once in a blue moon.
    3) The purpose of trainer going on a badge quest journey and aim for the Pokemon League, and the background history of this culture. What is the purpose of this journey? Why kids reaching 10-year-old must venture to a journey? Is this some kind of a pilgrimage or some kind of law? What is the aim of doing so? And what exactly pokemon trainers should achieve in this journey?
    4) The non-pokemon related life of everyman. I don't like every single thing in the PokeWorld are related to pokemons, there must be some other jobs and works that are completely unrelated to pokemons, yet it is essential to support the society of PokeWorld. Although I don't need the anime to dig deep into the life of everyman on the street, but at least I would like the anime to feature a bit more of such non-trainer human, at the very least, don't let every single human character walk together with a pokemon.
    5) A more character-focused story plot. I want to know more about the deeper thinking of some specific character, what are they thinking, why they had such thinking, how do they developed such thinking. The anime may focus more on the past and inner monologues of the characters.
    6) Human nature and philosophy is always a diligent topic to evoke deep thinking not possible by innocent children. Focus more on the characters' emotions and attitudes and mental struggles when encountering difficulties, their witty dialogues and conversations when communicate with each other, the development and growth of many different characters, etc. As Pokemon is about breeding and training, "Nature VS Nurture" is always a good theme to focus on.
    7) The anime may had the pokemon battle requires more practical skills and abilities. Friendship is NOT magic. Other than enthusiasm and faith, a competent trainer should also need knowledges, experience, adaptivity, strategic creativity, instantaneous judgmental thinking, ambitious mindset, never-say-die spirit, and many more. I would like these things to be shown, not just by telling.

I still think there are more, but currently at the moment, these are the ones I can voice out explicitly.
