IV Breeding

    What is your story of IV Breeding? How many pokemon have you trashed just to get the IVs you want? Right now, I have an Adamant Beldum with 29/26/14/21/18/26 IVs. I HATE those Defensive IVs. I'm so CLOSE to at least a DECENT Metagross. How many times have you had this happen to you?

    i don't completely understand the entire idea, so i wouldn't know
     
    The first thing I've set out to work on is a vast colllection of uber IV Dittos in differing natures. Right now I have 1 and a half boxes full of such Dittos, but most of them only have 1 decent IV and the rest are crap. I did manage to get a reallly good Rash ditto with :

    ALLbutDf - #132 (Rash)
    HP: 29 *
    Att: 29 *
    Def: 13
    SpA: 25
    SpD: 28
    Speed: 23

    Which is great when I need a Rash pokemon.

    Before I found out that breeding is better than catching, I probably caught close to 300 pokemon and let 250 of them go.
     
    I have a total of 4 Ditto. Only one has good IVs. None of them are Adamant. xD
     
    Eh, IV Breeding isn't really something that's a specific to Black and White so I'm going to go ahead and move this over to the Gaming Central board.

    Though to add on to the discussion, I know I've trashed a lot of Pokémon with good natures but bad IVs before. I don't RNG abuse nor do I know how to very clearly, so IV breeding goes the hard way out for me. n__n;;

    26/26/14/24/30/16
    22/26/22/26/29/0

    I guess I could throw the second one in a Trick Room or GyroBall set, but it really isn't the one I'm looking for. D:
     
    It takes me a long time to IV breed something most of the time. For instance, this Deino here took a couple days to get, as opposed to several hours: Hasty, 23/30/24/30/21/31.
     
    I don't need to trash pokemons with low IV's whenever I discover them because I saved at the time I'll get the egg. And I do RNG so all my pokemons are pretty much high IV'ed ones.

    But if its all about just pure breeding then with good parents I can get to at least a maximum of 4 maxed IVs for the offspring, also with the help of power items to pass down IV's :)
     
    I finally reached my goal of 99 Rare Candies, legally. They are for checking IVs using MetalKid's calculator. Again, I got them all legally.
