I've been looking at Pyukumuku all wrong...

I always thought its spikes were its legs and it just used to float upside down, but walk around on land. And then when you like hit, or step on it, or something, you'd be stepping on its stomach causing its insides to gush out. I am such an idiot {XD} Was I the only one?

I don't know why someone would think Pyukumuku is upside-down. I remember sea cucumbers having spikes on them, so yeah.
