    Hello all,

I have some unique Japanese Pokemon cards that I am trying to identify and I could really use your help.

I was a serious collector back in the 90's and the crazy market on cards right now has caused me to actually sell a few of my cards (bittersweet). However, in my collection I came across these and I honestly do not know what they are. In the late 90's I was buying all Japanese cards and I purchased these at that time. Obviously they are not official TCG cards, but I couldn't resist the awesome artwork on the back of the cards when I saw them. I have never seen them since. I have about 30 of these, each one with a different back and number. The highest number I have is 72, so there were at least that many in the set.

Card #1 Has Ash and Pikachu on the Back with singing Jigglypuff on the front
Card #25 Has the Christmas tree on the back with Charizard and Machamp fighting on the front

Again, any help on identifying these cards is much appreciated.

    Bo

Quite frankly I've never been sure what these are. I've seen cards like this posted time and again over my 10 years here and I don't think we've ever been able to successfully identify them, since they rarely have copyright information. They kind of resemble the Carddass cards but not quite similar enough to the ones I've found online over the years. These are really quite baffling.

EDIT: Okay after another quick google search they might be a later run of the Carddass cards? I'm actually legit confused now as I actually have very limited familiarity with the carddass cards as I've primarily focused on collecting actual official TCG cards.

I'm still under the impression that these are bootlegs based on lack of copyright info on either side of the cards, weird foil patters (often with shoddy application), and seemingly random stats. The way the holo side of the cards are numbered remind me of some card-stickers I've seen that were definitely bootlegs.

EDIT: Here's a thumbnail of what appears to be the same kind of card. Layout looks pretty unprofessional to me.
