    About this thread.

You are free to submit poems, and other works, just let me read them first, so I can make sure they are:

    I) Not Vulgar, Rude, Racist, Or Unnecessarily LONG.
    Examples:

    Swearing-

****ing Snorlax sat on my food.
    That was really rude.

    Racism-

Black as the trainer, his Pokemon was.
And it was strange, his name was Gus.

    Length-

5-8 lines is good. Not 20 lines Okay?

II) They don't have to be good, but I'm not about to go and Spell Check EVERY SINGLE THING YOU WRITE. Please, read over your work before posting.

    Examples:

    None of this-

I liek teh mudkips casue tey aer kewl.
I rly haet goen tew skwl.

III) ALWAYS have a title. I might make you one, but only if you BEG. (Just kidding, I'll help you if you're truly stuck. It always helps to have one to work off.)

    My First Poem(s)

    Ivysaur's Writers Block

    Writing.

    How do you do it?

Does it have a certain structure, a certain blend?

Do you keep on going? Does it always end?

Thinking of ideas causes some delay.

And if you catch writers block, you'll be here all day.

Just let your imagination flow free and smooth.

Let it be wild and crazy.

    Let it be free.

    Let me.

    Write.

[I made that all up within about a minute. Any comments?]

The Day I Went to the Ocean

    The ocean breeze floated down.

And the sun glowed upon my crown.

In case you don't know, that's a word for head.

And I mean to write about the ocean instead.

I ran down, dashing across the sand.

I had been traveling for days on land.

Just as I was to reach the water.

I got caught, by the farmers daughter.

How I was so very sad.

To be in a Pokeball, not on the beach, glad.

[Like it? tell me in the comments! I'll put even more up later!]

    About this thread.

You are free to submit poems, and other works,

No threads purely on one type of poem.
Threads just for one kind of poetry can get messy with everyone posting their own poems in it. If you would like to have a collection thread, you can have one just for poems written by you. With the exception of Poem of the Week, every poet needs their own thread.

So you can have a thread for your own poems, but not accept poems from anyone else for the same thread. Also, your rules are unneeded, because most of those are already covered either by PC's general rules or by the Poetry section's rules. And you can't really cut off people's poems just by how long they are.

Thread closed. If you want to make another one, make it in the Poetry section and remember that it's for poems written by you only.
