Well, at the very least, this looks considerably better than this. And if you're going to say that I used a crappy site, please direct me to a better one. I don't know how to HD streams. orz

In terms of video quality, it seems that TLR S1 has a pretty bad source being only DVD and no BD. I can kinda see where you would say that it looks no better than streaming, but uncensored, DVD-quality softsubs are better than compression streaming with hardsubs. Not that I'm an expert in video encoding or anything.

Now, for the green text. Can I have a screen shot? What does it say? Also, what is your video player? It better not be VLC. Whose subs are you using? Are they [Ayako]'s? [Chihiro]'s? [polished]'s? [Exiled-Destiny]'s?

Also, protip: You're NOT supposed to download an episode the moment you want to watch it. You download them en masse (torrent is the most convenient method) for simple playback later.
 
I remember downloading the To Love-Ru episodes last season as they came out, i never had any problems. You were unlucky I guess.

Started watching Pretty Cure for the first time in ages, oddly enough it doesn't feel as much of a guilty pleasure as it did when I was a kid.

I found the full list of episodes, both censored, and uncensored on sakurahana. All in 720p. I haven't looked at the rest of the site though, so I dunno if they're actually good for everything or not. They had links for pretty much every download site too.

iirc, I downloaded CCCP... although the actual video player isn't called that, so I dunno.
The green text is in the top right, covering like 5% of the screen... it's just pointless info about the audio of the video. The subs were Chihiro.

I only downloaded 1 episode, cuz it wasn't available on youtube... Having the uncensored version was nice though, so I might DL the rest tonight, assuming I can fix this and can actually see the screen. lol

I find that the fansub sites themselves are usually the best place to find links and such. Just saying.

Chihiro's release is actually censored, HD-TV upscales. The uncensored, DVD releases are from polished and Exiled-Destiny.

I'm using Media Player Classic Home Cinema with CCCP. Are you using the same (assuming Windows OS)? If so, then you might want to go to Comp and Tech to see if they got the answer. :x

I saw the first episode of PreCure today using my iPhone. "Uh... Wow." is all I have to say so far.

I don't think i could watch anime on an iPhone, PSP or other portable device other than my laptop to be honest. I don't even enjoy using my laptop without connecting it up to my tv to be fair.

I haven't seen the first ep of Suite Precure yet, I've downloaded so i'll definitely watch that as it's airing. I think i could really get into the whole girls beating stuff up in frilly costumes scene, at least i don't have a cool guy image to maintain. ^_^

Seriously, all seasons of that show are awesome. And my manly image died the minute I became attracted to cute anime girls :P
 
Well, Pretty Cure HAS been Toei's best seller for the last three years (estimated to be overthrown this fiscal year by One Piece)

Well it is awesome so I'm not surprised. I've decided just to read One Piece, too many episodes to bother with.

It is a long series. Once you get to the three hundreds or so, the ratio of Chapters to Episodes becomes very close to 1:1. I'd just read it. o3o

1. Anime on TV? Never heard of it. :/ (<-Watches all anime on a computer, for lack of any alternative)
2. I meant the sound novel. And yes, while the art is absolutely hideous, it has a certain endearing quality. That, and the sound novel is fairly interesting.

I can connect my laptop to my TV, no anime channels on my crappy freeview but meh, i have Nyaa and Bakabt.

Azumanga + Yotsuba&! = it doesn't matter where he started. I have to admit it would probably be the cutest/funniest hentai ever. :L

Anyway, upgraded my laptops media player this afternoon, finally can get crystal clear blue ray with no skips and perfect sound. Had to get it sorted before I have my Kara no Kyoukai marathon, oh and the Haruhi movie of course.
 
Can't say i know much of Clamp and their early work but i wouldn't be surprised.

Suite Precure♪ episode 1 was awesome. For the franchise it seems surprisingly unique, i guess only time will tell though. Animation is nice, the transformation was cool and the characters were all nicely designed. If you're about Shanghai Alice i really suggest this, the same genre as Madoka but completely the opposite.

I don't want to complain but wow the second season of Kimi ni Todoke is actually moving slower than the first. The whole misunderstanding each other thing doesn't half get old, the only posotives so far have been Kento and the Ayane/Chizaru team.
