    For those who do not know, there was a Facebook event distribution for a HA Infernape today to celebrate the Chinese Lunar Calendar New Year. This event, just like many others done on Facebook and Maxsoft led to serious farming issues by many pokemon trading subreddits.

    Someone on these subreddits has discovered an exploit that allows them to steal codes on they've been generated. More is elaborated here. This person had warned the subreddit about this exploit. This was after Nintendo of Hong Kong switched from using Woobox to Antavo.

    I highly suggest to the administrators in the trading subforum to put a ban on all Jade Infernape codes as they seem to be compromised.

    Wow, this sounds like a serious blunder on the part of whatever site hosted that event. A few things I'm wondering about this though. How exactly were these codes distributed? Do you just go to the site and it generates a code for you? I don't live in that area so I know practically nothing about this event ;;

    You would click on the link/post thingy given out by the Facebook webpage and enter in your information into the link. Afterwards, if would generate the code if you are in the Hong Kong/Taiwan areas. People were able to steal codes from people even without being in those areas.

    As a person who is mainly residing in those regions you mentioned, I found that utterly sad. It's either a clumsy mistake on the technician's part (I guess?) and selfish people taking advantage of it.

    On a slight positive way to look at this event, the distributed Infernape isn't that special (aside from being an event Pokemon with special OT/OTID). It's just an Infernape with a Hidden Ability and two Egg Moves. :/

    People taking advantage of the event though, that's plain wrong and a behavior not to be encouraged. There's nothing much we can do, except on not participating their selfish acts and trading/giving those codes away. Thanks for letting us know, Hax!

    It's quite sad that Antavo (who is most likely to blame) allowed such a breach to happen. It should've just genned a code without creating another page, but Antavo allowed this to happen. Hopefully Nintendo of Hong Kong learns from it's mistakes.

    Hopefully the personnel of Antavo and/or Nintendo HK are aware of this. They actually have the rights to stop distributing the codes and they can also redistribute newer ones. (:

    I'm not sure if they are or not. It might be a good idea to inform them, but alas, I kind of don't know Chinese.
