What's the point of the thread I linked above anyway?

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it had to do with why we live in the cities/townships/states/countries we live in now.
The context of this thread reminds me of a thread on the Michigan Radio & TV Buzzboard asking "what's wrong with our ***?" from some troll known as "listenbuddy" from Traverse City. He (listenbuddy) was asking about "why are we the only animal who has to wipe?"
I first posted on the Buzzboard a year and a half ago. I discoverd the board in late 2003. When listenbuddy replied to one of my early threads there (I was asking why the FCC instated a freeze on new broadcaster applications, he responded by saying "they're commies") I didn't know what "commie" meant then, so I just took it as crude humor.
Needless to say, over the months, I've found out for myself and other posters there of what a troll listenbuddy was. The names "listenbuddy" and his counterpart "Scrod Motley" were banned 11 months ago for good. Shortly after, "enraged" and "idjit breath" came up, but it wasn't until too long until it was revealed that they were really Scrod listenbuddy Motley. In May, after intensive catfights with another well-known user of the board, "air check" (link is to the website of his DJ services, not another board's profile page), "enraged" and "idjit breath" were permabanned.
The Political Potpourri section (where listenbuddy posted at mostly) was more productive and less trollish after enraged and idjit breath were booted out. However, come October, three more names from listenbuddy, "The Wetting DJ", "Thorn", and "Torpedo Head" (in order which they were registered} appeared. It was only a few days after Thorn's first posts that the three new names I mentioned were listenbuddy.
The original reason for permabanning listenbuddy (and Scrod Motley) 11 months ago stemed from allegations that he sent out some e-mail resume to radio stations across Michigan claiming to be a "kick-*** employee". Even though he came on the board as his real name (revealed at end of post) to deny it, it didn't help any, since it was patently obvious he was behind the trolling, smart-butted sig lines and profile information, and pointless one-liners.
Needless to say, I once liked listenbuddy, but I consider him as an enemy after he threatened me with bans under "idjit breath" and "thorn". When listenbuddy as "enraged" and "idjit breath" began regular catfights with air check in April, it came to my senses that he was a real troll.

BTW, listenbuddy is really a weekend radio host at WCCW-FM in Traverse City-the real name is Jim Moriarty.
