Jessie's (Yubel Controlled) Duel Disk

I was watching Yu-Gi-Oh GX today and Jessie is dueling Adrian Gecko and Jessie's still controled by Yubel by the way, and I noticed something about Jessie's duel disk. It was split into 3 sections. One with one card slot and 2 with 2. And when I saw it being all spiked, playing any card into that would be like playing Guitar Hero: On Tour. It'd be painfully uncomfortable. What were they thinking when they made that duel disk?

P.S. When I came into this thread page it was in Japanese entertainment, I have no idea what went wrong.
