Hey - I just transloaded Jirachi into a new game of Pokemon Sapphire (b/c it is at level 5) and everything was going well until i reached Petalburg Forest. Then it started coping an attitude. I can't wait to get to dewford.

what do u mean by that? its not listening to u?

If your Jirachi is at a high level and your badge number is low, then they will tend to disobey you.

Yes Jirachi is basically like any traded pokemon you get if you don't have the badge already, if your just starting off and you get to around level 11, thats what happens with any traded pokemon.

Yeah - but i was really expecting for it to obey because it didn't say "Obtained in a trade" in the met section. It said "A fateful encounter".

Hm.. What`s it`s level? If it is higherthan 30 than of course it won`t obey you. When I got to DewFord My Marshtomp was lv.32. And It wouldn`t do a thing I said. And once I got to the Lilycove I was lv.100 .

No - it wouldn't obey me and i was making my way towards Rustboro.

Yeah, I guess you are right... wait! Isn't it the second badge - not the first.

Its tecnicly from a trade cause the Original trainer's name is WISHMKR and has a differnt ID # BUT bcause of that it levels up faster! :D

yeah i got my jirachi like that (didnt have to shark it) but i already beat the elite four by that time i havent bothered training him hes only level 44

btw if you have a gameshark heres 2 funky things that happen to you if you link. both of these you have to do with the walk through walls code (ghost) first go to a pokemon center. the go in to the second floor (you have to link with somebody) walk through the pc and onto the back wall. heres one thing though if you do this it will erase all of your items and youll only have ???balls that dont do anything if you let the game save (suggested you turn it off when saving) you can walk into the door at the coloseum walk to one side of the battle field and youll be in a battle with a ? pokemon (its the question mark on you pokedex if you havent seen a pokemon) it will have 0 hp and 0 every thing. you fight it and it dies then the game saves and all your items will have disapeared. if you want to try it dont blame me if all your items disapear. another thing you can do is walk through the pc go to the trading place (i think you have to be in oldale town but im not sure ive only tried it there) but dont go, in if you do and you sit on the chair your game will freeze or get stuck with the b button cancel. then go directly behind the lady and talk to her shell ask you if you want to trade say yes to all the stuff and have your partner without a gameshark go there and trade also. they will say please enter. on your screen youll be in petalburg infront of the house by the lake. you cant go into any buildings and your partner will probably (if they move to the seat) be non moving in a place. on your partners screen they will be in the trading center with the chairs and if you walk anywhere youll disapear throught the black parts (my friend got really freaked out when i did theis to her and she screamed for me to come back) its fun but i think if you do it too much it might delete your game... im not sure have fun :)

Yeah, I had a similar problem back on Red/Blue. I'd traded the 3 starters onto one cart, so I had all three to begin with. Working through, by about L12 onwards the two that were traded were disobeying me, doing different moves or just ignoring me altogether.

Once you have a Gym Badge that matches their level, they started obeying me again. Although, I was careful to slow down their levelling until the next gym, in case they went too high. The traded 1.5 x Exp bonus does help in levelling, but can be a double edged sword if they level too quickly

I guess this was a bad weekend for me to be gone on a trip. >_<

Like shining_light and BladeForever said, you can't revive old threads. Therefore...
