Name: Cirruna Kizan

Appearance: Cirruna is the the size and weight of a normal 12 year old girl, being 150cm and 40kg. She has hip-length black hair, and she always wears it down. Sometimes she clips in red streaks of fake hair. Cirruna's eyes are both green, however when under certain light conditions her left eye is blue, and her right eye is green.

She likes to wear her blue and white stripy tank top, which she got as a tenth birthday present. She often wears black shorts, with faint dark blue stripes going vertically down them. For shoes, she wears pink sandals, with fake amythests on for decoration. She also wears a silver headband, with silver glitter on.

Personality: From her looks, Cirruna is quite clearly a girly girl. However, her personality is not that of a girly girl. Cirruna likes dressing in fashion, but she also likes playing sports. Football, basketball, netball, rugby, you name it, she's tried it. Cirruna prefers playing sports than dressing up, though. This is because she needs comfy,slack clothes so she can easily run and jump.

She is a kind, caring person who likes to help others. If a pokemon needs help, she will go to the extreme to help it, even risking her life for it. This is because a Pokemon saved her life one day, and she would like to pay Pokemon back. Also, Cirruna is against battling Pokemon to capture them, instead befriending them first. Also, Cirruna lets the Pokemon decide if they want to be her friends, instead of forcing them to battle with her. Cirruna also tries her best at everything, and rarely gives up.

History: Cirruna was born in Violet City, Johto. Her mother was a Dragon Trainer, so Cirruna grew up next to mythical Pokemon. Her father was a move tutor, teaching Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon and Frenzy Plant, so Cirruna grew up used to seeing those moves being used.

A frantic life was normal for Cirruna, for the reasons mentioned above. However, one day when Cirruna was seven things got a little too frantic. Cirruna and her mother were out for a walk near the pod near the Dragon Shrine, when Cirruna fell into the water! She splashed and splashed, trying to keep her head above water. The Pokemon of the pond must have heard Cirruna splashing, because a Goldeen surfaced and pushed Cirruna out of the water gently. Cirruna's mother thanked the Goldeen with a piece of her Dragonair's Pokemon food, before it swam back down to the bottom of the lake.

After that, Cirruna and her family lived a normal life. Now, she has been asked to participate in the Johto League. She is excited about starting her Pokemon journey and getting her first Pokemon.

Name: Cooper Phillips

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Appearance: Cooper is the average height of around 6 foot and is ever so slightly plump. This large-ish build results in him also having rather big limbs - such as big, stubby fingers and clumsy looking feet. Cooper has fair, cream coloured skin and his hair is very wavy and 'full' looking - as it is quite thick and grows outward slightly. The hair itself is a rich brown colour, and this compliments his brown iris colour.

Clothing wise, Cooper opts for more simplistic wear - however adds his own touches. Most times, he will wear a button-up shirt with the top one or two buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He favours deep blue jeans, however is not very fussy about trousers - swapping from day to day between them, cargo pants and so on. Cooper favours brown boots for footwear, and sometimes dosen't even bother to tie them up. He also likes his accessories - wearing a watch on his left wrist and a number of beads and so on around his right.

Personality: One word to best describe Cooper is 'optimist'. Cooper is not to always be taken seriously. He can be quite the goofy character, looking for enjoyment in things, one way or another. He has a great sense of humour - according to his friends, as he does not particularly like to boast. He is slightly lacking in intelligence - he isn't the smartest guy around - and there are many things he has trouble figuring out or has yet to learn. On top of this, he is near oblivious to any threats or dangers. Cooper dosen't push himself too much either. He's pretty lackluster, and has a number of lazy days. He goes by the theory of, "Don't get involved if it's got nothing to do with you" - to quote him (however, ironically, he always ends up getting himself into a number of complex situations due to his sheer obliviousness to his surroundings at times). The tendancy to not take certain things seriously can irritate others from time to time (namely his family), and at times, trying to get him to sit down and reason with you can be like pulling teeth. However this makes him a friendly individual, fun loving and never wanting to cause anyone any trouble. On occasions he can be rather loud too, bursting out whenever he is surprised or confused.

Cooper is also very strongly opinionated. He has a somewhat unique moral code, and will stand by it, even if it means trouble. He is neither blunt nor sharp when it comes to his responses - usually, he will say something as it is, likewise, he will give witty responses and make the other person think. One more thing. Cooper loves food. He likes nearly every edible thing on the planet, and never lets food go to waste. He will jump at the chance of food, and often the desire to eat will get in the way of his basic line of thought.

History: Cooper Phillips is from Johto himself, having grown up in Cherrygrove City. He lives with his family there - a mother, father and a sister who is little over a year older than he is. His parents worked together with the same firm, meaning that they could communicate during working hours; swapping shifts if neccesary in order to look after their children and their home. As Cooper and his older sister got older, there was less urgency to have someone supervise them, however this didn't neccisarily mean Cooper was becoming more responsible. He became quite carefree in his attitude to things - he didn't take great care of the house, his homework for school started being handed in late and/or unfinished. All in all, his studies suffered - but he knew it was down to his lack of motivation, he never blamed anyone else but himself for it.

In the grand scheme of things, however, these are minor issues. Nothing major has ever happened in Cooper's 15 years alive, which could quite possibly result in his carefree approach to life and his constant optamistic attitude. This ability to see the bright side of almost anything and joke about life's little things has resulted in him developing a strong sense of humour. His school friends (whom he has been friends with since they were toddlers) often appreciate his humour, constantly telling him to pursue it.

Cooper has quite a basic relationship with pokemon. He treats every one as if they were people - asking them how their day was or having trivial conversations with them, even though he knows they can't speak back to him (the fact they can understand is enough for him). For the past few years, he would have loved to have one of his own, to call his 'main man' as he puts it (or indeed 'main girl', but he always thought that sounded creepy). However, he has been discouraged from it due to schoolwork - back when he was thirteen, for example, it was a risk too big for him to just abandon education and bank on being a trainer.

Now, however, he has a number of decent grades, there is a backup plan for him. So naturally, he was overjoyed to find out he had been selected to recieve his own pokemon and travel Johto. The idea that he could help Johto, after it's recent... situation, by participating in its own league, excited him even more. To make matters all the more suitable, his parents are also encouraging him - at least, in their view, he'll be doing something instead of wasting his days.

Name: Celeste "Selly" Ingerfield

Age: 13

Gender: Female

Appearance:
From her looks, most would assume her to be an eight year old child. Her body is a bit underdeveloped, a tiny frame, and only 4'1", but cheeks still chubby from baby fat. She has long legs in comparison to her ams, which are shorter and less slender. She has olive skin, and appears to be of Malaysian descent, though is most likely a mix. Her hair is thick and black, tied up into two tight pigtails. Her almond eyes are a deep shade of brown, and has thick eyebrows.

Her clothing style is very silly, and often rather gaudy, but in an innocent way. She loves bright colors, and dresses like a clown, so she typically wears frilly and polka-dotted dresses with long striped socks and shoes, but when she's looking for something more comfortable, she wears pants. Her travel attire consists of a red and orange striped shirt, blue denim overalls with orange buttons, and bright pink and green pockets. Her long white socks are covered in rainbow polka-dots, with neon green converses. She also has a small, yellow backpack that is covered in doodles.

Personality:
Selly is a hyper-active girl, who loves to entertain. She can't stand to see unhappy people, so she always tries to make things better, even if she sometimes ends up making the situation worse. She loves to tell jokes, make funny faces, and singing songs. She has a cheerful disposition, and innocent optimism, making her very pleasant to be around. However, she can be considered rather annoying, to those with a more pessimistic outlook.

Despite being a teenager, she behaves like a young child. This is partially due to the environment she was raised in. Her whole family was jolly and never acted their age, plus being the youngest, she was often spoiled. Her innocence makes her rather naive, and since she lacks a formal education, she isn't very smart when it comes to many topics. She is a fast learner, but it takes detailed explanation for her to understand something.

One of her notable qualities is her high energy. Everything she does is filled with enthusiasm. She is constantly doing something active, such as playing games like Tag, or climbing up trees. However, it is hard for her to sit still, and she can be rather impatient. If she has to wait a long time for something, she gets bored of it easily. Her attention span is short.

History:
Whether it was death, an accident, or maybe she was just unwanted, Selly ended up as an orphan on the doorstep of a traveling circus. The ring master decided to take her in as his daughter, but the whole troop was family to her. Even though, when she was a bit older, people asked if she ever wanted to find her real parents, she would get upset, because she already had a family, it didn't matter if none them were technically related. Circus life was very fun for her as a child. Though she was treated like the ring master's daughter, she worked and performed in the circus like everyone else. She learned to do many different acrobatic tricks, juggling, and loved to work with the clowns.

The war managed to change things up for the circus. Normally freely traveling between Johto and Kanto, they were only able to stay in Johto. The troop members who were originally from Kanto, were being harassed by major supporters of the war, so they decided to take an early retirement. The circus wasn't very active during then, which made Selly a bit upset, that people fighting could make everyone else unhappy as well. Once it started to wear down, however, they managed to start up once again, with a couple of replacements.

One of the new members they had was a Pokémon Tamer, someone who performed with many different Pokémon and trained them to do circus tricks. Selly was fascinated by them, and wanted to become one too. However, he was overly protective of his Pokémon, and didn't want anyone other than him to even think about handling them. Still, she wanted to learn how she could train with Pokémon, so he suggested that she go to school and learn about them there.

Even though she loved the circus, she decided that she would try going to school, for a little while, then return to performing. However, things didn't exactly work out smoothly. When she went to get registered for school, they didn't have any of her personal information known. Though they managed to work things out, her days at school were complicated. She didn't know anything about the basics of what they were teaching, and her grades were suffering pretty badly. Other kids made fun of her and called her a circus freak.

Though she made some friends, it was a very hard time. Thankfully, her name was one that was picked, so she could leave school, and just have Pokémon for herself. Unfortunately, it meant leaving her family for a long time until she finished the League. There was a tearful farewell, but great words of encouragement. Promising to finish up quickly, she packed her belongings, which wasn't very much, and headed off to New Bark Town.

Red's Hawt Chibi Pellipers​

Name: Maya Hino
Age: 15
Gender: Female

Appearance: Maya is a rather curvy (not at all fat though) average height girl. The first thing you notice is probably her hair; it's black, almost purple shining, and curly and almost always put up into some kind of interesting knot, or the long fringe is held back by a couple of clips at the back of the head. If that's not the first thing you notice, then perhaps it's her dark brown skin, her big lips or bright smile showing all her teeth or her huge eyelashes. Maya uses mascara, but she will soon notice that it's quite the bother when you're traveling the countryside without much clean water to wash yourself in.

Her clothing is usually comprised by shorts, purple or dark blue, bare legs and a pig pair of white sneakers. These will probably become a bit messy... very soon. On her upper body, she usually wears a tight t-shirt or tube top when she can, usually a bright, cheerful color like white or yellow. When it gets a bit colder, she puts on a bright gray zip-hood and when that doesn't cut it, she puts on her black, rather thick raincoat, which is very neatly curled up inside her backpack most of the time.

She wears a big watch, almost a bit manly, on her left wrist. On her right arm, she wears a golden (not real gold) bracelet which is said to be from her mother. Other than that, she wears 2 golden rings (real gold! but don't tell anybody) in both of her ears, meaning 4 rings total.

Personality: (read history for all this to make sense) For being the oldest in a family of 5 siblings, her approach on things is awfully light. When faced with a problem, her motherly instincts sure do kick in - she want to protect as many as possible - but the past couple of years has made her a bit more selfish and maybe even a litttttle bit greedy. The money she has earned, she has been wanting to keep for herself, at least part of it. There is a constant battle within her between the kind part of her that wants to do what is right, and the part of her that says there should be nothing wrong with doing what serves you the best.

She smiles a lot, flashing all her bright teeth. She usually is pretty happy, especially since she got the opportunity to become a real pokémon trainer. She had always dreamed of doing something greater! But at the same time, she is feeling guilty about leaving her family in Goldenrod. She tries to push away the guilt by saying it's for their sake as well that she's doing this. If she will earn money on her journey, she will send it home... for sure.

She is cheerful when meeting new people and has a firm handshake. She might even come off as a little loud and burly. She isn't the one to mourn or mope around, but when she is alone she can actually be staring out into the distance sometimes... wondering what things would be like if her mother was still alive.

History: Maya is the oldest sister in a rather poor family of 5 siblings. Her younger brother, Kohaku, is 12 and her sisters are 9, 8 and 6. Their father is working hard in the basement of the Goldenrod Dept. Store every day and sometimes at night, to bring in enough money to feed the family, who is living in an apartment in the southern part of the City. Maya has been working part-time for several years now in the Flower Shop, to help bring in money, and Kohaku has just started working part-time as a cleaner in the Game Corner, where he actually earns a lot but has to work hard. By contrast, Maya doesn't really earn a lot in the Flower Shop even though she has been working there for some time now, but she enjoys it and is friends with the owning sisters.

Growing up being not as wealthy as others in the Goldenrod metropolis wasn't easy. Sometimes Maya was teased but she learned to response jokingly to all teasing and finally people respected (or feared) her even though she wasn't wearing the most fancy clothing or having much to eat every day. She had to protect her brother from bullies from times to times, as he isn't really as strong-minded and rough as Maya has learned to be. Maybe that is because she is protecting him... but she could never not do it. Everybody who cares know by now that Maya's younger sisters are related to her, and they are not made fun of. Maya sort of took the hit for the family, though the aftermath has fallen upon Kohaku to bear.

Their mother died when Maya's younger sister was born. Their father was greatly depressed by this and didn't work for a while. But he finally shaped up, with the help of his sister, Maya's aunt, who lives close by with her own family, and grew to completely love his youngest daughter, giving her the name of their mother, Aiko. Maya then took the role of mother in the family, even though she was reluctant in the beginning. She hasn't been having an easy time these past 6 years, none of them have. But their father taught them that as long as they had love, they would be happy, and that was the only thing that really meant something in life.

Name: Maria Black
Age: 16
Gender: Female

Appearance: She stands at 5'4", with 110 pounds. Her skin tone is pale by nature, but tanned by the sun. She has long, straight, black hair, which she generally keeps in a ponytail. From her mother, she inherited violet eyes; a trait that she finds pleasing.

Maria keeps very much clean and tidy (except while in the process of trekking through dirt, or mud), and dresses more or less modestly and practically. She often wears jeans and T-shirts, for comfort, simplicity, and functionality. A lot of the comfort from this has developed into emotional comfort.

Personality: What Maria presents to people, usually ranges from restraint to coldness; a lack of warm emotions. This is partly truth, because she does value her ability to function properly, and to address situations seriously. There are a number of things she does not express, though. One of these things is an unstoppable love of cute things. Embarrassment, and wanting to preserve the character she's created, drives her to keep this under wraps. She'd sooner tell people about other loves of hers, such as landscapes and martial arts. It should also be pointed out, for her character's development's sake that she's a lesbian. This, she rarely tells anyone - given it's generally not their business - but has accepted, and is not ashamed of. She has no attachment to men, beyond that of friendship or family, and certainly has no excitement from men.

The way she presents herself has become a sort of comfort zone. The things she makes known, the things she keeps hidden, the things she isn't concerned about people knowing, and the distinction between them, form the role she is comfortable playing. This is not to say that she is false, but that she has become bound to the particular arrangement of her truths. It's hard for her to change the way she presents herself to others.

History: Maria grew up in what was once Cianwood's coast. Her family is one of those that practice martial arts there, and she's grown to enjoy them as well. Much of her childhood was spent in the company of her siblings, which add up to two brothers and a sister, all but one brother elder. When she was young, her father was called upon by the army, to train Johto's soldiers in hand to hand combat, and pokemons' implementations with it. Her sister also joined, and became the leader of a tactical squad, devoted to sneaking behind enemy lines, and drawing aggro from not entirely secure positions. She came back changed, much more than their father. While he had a slight melancholy about him, she was even more irritable than before she left. Eventually, this sister left home with her Polywrath, apparently not able to stand complacency.

Maria often spent time exploring Cianwood. She would observe broken down houses, apparently left, for their being both in the shadow of the dam, and far from the locks. Her own house was close to the gym, which was one of the two most active places; the other being the locks. Much more of her exploration time was spent viewing the inland forest, which had great pools of rainwater, and was pretty absurdly warm. This was, of course, when she wasn't performing martial arts, which she excelled at.

Name: Todd Brillings
Age: 15
Gender: Male

Appearance: Todd is a thin guy. He's about average height, but way below average muscle size. He normally walks with his not-so-marked shoulders slightly crouched forward; he's got a terrible posture.

His eyes are dimly blue and his hair is light brown and not really well kept. He doesn't style his hair every morning, not even every other morning. He couldn't grow a beard even if he tried, and he most often wears glasses and can't see clearly more than a couple of meters in front of him if he doesn't.

He usually wears t-shirts of random brands and colors. He doesn't really care what. Jeans are standard and he doesn't really wear anything else down there. When outdoors, he wears a red and grey jacket that can withstand both rain and wind, but isn't the most stylish piece of clothing ever made. He usually wears a black or a gray hoodie under it.

He's got a pretty expensive watch on his left arm, but apart from it and his glasses, he doesn't wear any fancy stuff. He carries his belongings in a pretty big, black backpack. If he were to fill it up completely, he probably wouldn't have the strength to carry it.

Personality: Todd is a geek, that's the easiest way to put it. He's pretty social when he wants to, and he really wants to at times. But mostly online.

A normal day for Todd is spent in his room, in front of his computer, doing anything possible on the internet. If wars could be won online alone, he would be victorious any day, against any enemy. He is the king of gaming and a god when it comes to programming and technical systems. One of his hobbies is putting together new electronical devices from scratch parts or bought parts. He likes to think of himself as a genial inventor. Of course, he always keeps a channel open when he was putting together a new thingy, so that he could talk to his online friends at all times if he wanted to. So, he considered himself very social. He's also a sucker for science fiction and super heroes.

Others see him as rather impatient and nonchalant. Mostly that is because he wanted to get back to his online life instead of talking to whoever he was talking to in real life. He strikes you as a lazy teenager who wouldn't really survive on his own and who clearly doesn't know how much he relies on his parents.

He's got a pretty good sense of humor, but he doesn't really realize it. It's somewhat of the cynical, sarcastic type of humor. He's never hugged another girl than his mother, and he isn't really interested in doing so either.

Even though he plays super good characters in many online games, he isn't really leaning in any direction on any good/evil scale. He wouldn't hurt anyone on purpose, he supposes, but he wouldn't say no when somebody offered him something way too nice, when a really good hearted person would say "no, but thank you".

History: Todd lives in Violet City. In the wars, his parents had been working as well and as normally as they could, but it had been harsh. Todd hadn't grown attached to the internet yet, so he wasn't badly affected by the power shortages that occured frequently back then. He'd only seen how worried his parents were. They never wanted the war. Following their beliefs in his own way, Todd doesn't want any war today. He doesn't care if Johto is on its own or a part of Kanto. As he saw it, things had been better before, but there was no point in moping.

He does pretty well in school, even though he's been known to procrastinate important works at times. He stopped playing football when the war came, and didn't take it up afterwards. He took up his online life instead. He got many online friends from around Johto, some of which were pretty radical and disliked Kanto. But he also had many Kanto friends, who felt the opposite or just cared as little as he did himself.

When the fateful day came, when the president made it clear he had chosen Todd to participate in the new Johto League... Todd's world broke. He didn't believe it. Why the HELL would he be fitting for that task? It meant going out into the real world, something he rarely did if it wasn't for school or going to a WLAN party at a friend's house. His parents were immensely proud though, and urged him to go.

And pokémon? He thought they were beasts, or at least animals. He had never befriended any other than the family's old pet; Yooterii. His little sister liked pokémon and wanted to be a trainer, and she had been terribly jealous when he got chosen. But he'd gladly switch with her, if only he could... as he couldn't disobey the president, he packed his things and hitched a ride all the way to New Bark. He felt incredibly alone and strange out in this real world. It didn't please him at all.

Physical Appearance: Vico is about 5"5 feet tall. His physique is somewhere between thin and average, leaning closer to average. His arms are also quite small, not quite skin and bones, but noticeable. His hands are also smooth as a babies booty. This would probably be due to the manual work he would do. His skin is rather pale shade, as if he needed a tan. His hair is jet black, moderately short and rather straight. It also points out in the middle at the top. Vico also makes sure it doesn't sag onto his face at all. He needs his physical appearance to stay as perfect as it can be. And finally, his eyes are a dark shade of brown.

On the clothes side of things, Vico is wearing comfortable, black jeans. He would never think of letting them sag so he always wears a nice, black, belt to keep it from going down too low. His sneakers are both black and white, they were both comfortable and still functional in not breaking down. His socks go just above his ankles and are eggshell white. His outfit is completed with a polo shirt. One that is horizontally striped and flips between beige and white. It also has the number 57 over the heart area in a simple font. It's as long as any average T-shirt. He'll always have his collar down and it buttoned all the way up.

Personality: Vico likes things to be perfect. He always tries to make sure things are done right. He doesn't like failing and will make sure that all necessary precautions are taken so that things can be as good as they can possibly be. He also likes to give his all and then some. He'll give 200% and then give 210%. This ties in with his perfectionism, he will put his sweat, blood and tears into things. When he starts something he always makes sure to finish it. He's also pretty smart. He always thinks critically and outside of the box. He always tries to find new and creative ways to solve his problems so that everything he does can be, you guessed it, perfect.

Although, Vico is quite bossy. The ultimate example of 'My way or the highway'. Although he does like things to be perfect, this has caused him to always want to take the helm and make sure no one does anything wrong. Also, he's pretty cocky and a little pretentious. He's always sure that he will be the one that comes out on top. He'll always expect that victory will always be right in his fingertips. He's also a bit of a snoop. He's always trying to act like Sherlock Holmes at any given interval. When he finds something that perplexes him, he'll go find out what it is, whether it's his business or not.

History: Vico was born and raised in a nice, high-class house in Hearthome City. His younger childhood was always happy, filled with joy and life seemed sweet as honey. It felt like retirement about seventy or so years early. Vico was also the was the fourth of four children. They were all quite successful in what they did. Always getting As, bringing home trophies, always being that sort of ideal family that you always wish your apart of because it would seem nice. Being the the last of several, highly successful siblings, he always felt that he had a goal in life, a goal that he needed to meet before his life ends.

A goal which he decided not just to meet, but to surpass, 10 fold. He was always determined from his goal of wanting to reach the high level of his siblings. That level of meeting perfection, and then finding a way, some way to get above perfection. And to get there, a single mistake would do nothing other than hold him down, so he always made sure that he would get used to making sure everything around him is perfect and that he takes any precautions to make sure it stays that way. But going to school in pre-teens, he saw that perfection wasn't in the minds of everyone so he always took it upon himself to make sure things stayed perfect. And honestly, it seemed like he was on his way. He was no disgrace to his family, he always tried and he always succeeded. He felt as if victory would always be a stone's throw away.

Appearance: Alex's entire appearance can be summed up in one word: Awkward.

His stance is the first noticeable thing, a slouch that puts him at the level of the rest of the world, hiding his true height. Because he's finished physically growing up, but hasn't built any muscle yet, he's lanky, almost to the point of bony, made more prominent by ill-fitting shirt and pants. His jeans are far too long, and have to be rolled up three times in order to get to his ankles, which are bare as he does not wear socks or shoes. These pants are held up only be a belt, which loops around his thin waist once and a half before the belt stick out of his side. His shirt is a tye-dye that has been cut so that it is less of a dress and more of a shirt, although there's still a lot of room in it. For a tye-dye, is has been faded until it no longer is colourful, appears as only a fade of shades.

His only other accessories are watches, of which he has three; one with a silver band and engraved roman numerals for numbers that no longer functions, and is always set to 3:17, a crappy dollar store watch that has Kanto's time; it has a Jigglypuff on the face. The last one is also cheap, but it's alright, made of fake metal with a fake leather strap. It has Hoenn's time on it. His face is relatively nondescript, being a tanned Caucasian with amber eyes and shaggy, unkempt brown hair that falls haphazardly around his face, although it doesn't reach his neck. His expression is one typically a blank one, and combined with his slouch, gives him a permanent, estranged look, as if he just woke up.

Personality: Alex's most predominant personality feature is laziness, followed by selfishness. Typically he won't wake up until 2 in the afternoon, but still goes to bed ridiculously early. Because of this, he suffers from getting too much sleep, and always feels drowsy. To him, actual work is a pain in the ass, and even regular activity is rough. His motto is "work smarter, not harder" but anyone who knows him knows this is patently false; he'd rather not work at all.

There are only two ways to cause actual motivations: A challenge, such as a game or puzzle, or coffee. A single cup of coffee wires him for hours, making him crazy and energetic, on par with the average person drinking three cans of redbull. A game, on the other hand, appeals to a sense of value, and he considers himself good at many games, from board games to video games. As long as the games require very little to no physical exertion, he's there. He also loves the outdoors, as it's more peaceful than a town. If he could overcome his laziness, he could probably grow up to be a good trainer, having the strategic mind to battle skillfully, and understanding the limits of pokemon and people.

History: Alex had a pretty average life growing up in Azalea Town. He had a dad who was always at work, a home inspector who typically traveled to other towns, and a mother who stayed home and made sure the house was running. She was always busy, having Alex and two other children, twin girls. Because Alex was the oldest, he was often called upon to help out, especially with his father so rarely around. He quickly began to resent having to do chores and work instead of playing with his friends, or even relaxing. This was his life up until he was 13.

One night, a few weeks after his thirteenth birthday, he was awoken by his mother, screaming. He crept downstairs to see his mother yelling and crying at his father, who was standing, looking both tired and annoyed. Not being very sneaky, his mother immediately noticed him and sent him back to bed. He never learned the exact truth as to what happened, but over the next month his life was drastically changed; his mother and father were in court, and soon enough his mother was taking his twin sisters to somewhere in Hoenn, and he was staying with his father. He didn't really get it, but he understood it was the end of having to do constant work. She left, giving him a kiss and a cell phone number so that he could contact her at any time. Yeah right, he thought. Still, he noted the time they left in the afternoon, and wrote it down, feeling it might be important.

Yet a few months later, he did with regularity. Alex and his dad still lived together, but his dad was at home even less often than usual. To take care of his son, he gave him a credit card which would always have money for him to buy food. With no parent around though, there was no discipline. Alex stopped going to school, or even get up before noon. He lost friends, not bothering to maintain the relationships with them. He stayed up as late as he liked, playing video games. He never did anything. And he never had anyone to talk to, and any problem he couldn't fix became an insurmountable obstacle. Eventually he stopped trying, letting his house fall into disrepair. His father stopped coming around. His only source of support was his Mother, whom could do nothing but send her love and advice, which while valuable as they were to him, could not help him repair the T.V. Or the plumbing.


By the time he had turned fifteen, he was done with this house, and with his father, he just needed a way out. And when he won a chance to go out and adventure, with the ability to survive on his own, then even though it meant work, it meant escaping the desolate, miserable state of affairs he lived in. He had no hesitation, and left Azalea, in his mind forever, leaving his father's gift, the credit card, behind as an explanation. All he took with him was what little he found lying around that could be sold for money, the clothes on his back, and three watches. One for his time, one for his Mothers, and one to remember the day he was left alone.


Notes about Buzz Buzz: She's really energetic and eager, which is both useful as motivation, and a pain in the ass. Alex leaves her out or keeps her in the pokeball as she wants. Buzz Buzz also likes to battle, and is competitive, a nature which Alex can get behind.

Dark, and somewhat defeated, deep-set eyes stare uncomfortably at the world that passes them, moving reactionally rather than with desire or purpose. Thankfully, the outside world is not typically "blessed" with the opportunity to view what those dark eyes might hold due to a rather dark pair of cheap sunglasses propped upon a flat nose with a tendency to flare when angered. White teeth and a fantastic smile hide timidly behind unamused lips. A strong jaw and chin finish out an otherwise handsome face if not for the whole "Piss off" look thing.

The boy's body is that of one who has spent a good deal of time lifting and moving things. A thick neck attached to thick shoulders attached to thick arms attached to etc. He is a thick individual. Standing only 5'7", Obadiah's body is very compact and possesses a lot of strength. Rough hands in continuous motion can be seen moving in various places on the boy's body: running through his hair, entering and leaving the saw-dusty jean pockets, or fidgeting with the top button of his thick, red button up shirt whose sleeves are usually rolled up to the elbows. A simple brown belt holds up the jeans that cover the boy's short of strong legs. Worn brown work boots cover the callous feet and dirty brown socks of someone who would rather spend his time in a workshop than on the road. An old, dirty brown backpack is thrown over his right shoulder when traveling.

Personality
If his appearance was not indication enough, Obadiah is not the happiest camper in the world. Life events and bad timing have left him angry and defeated when it comes to searching and finding happiness in the war torn land that he lives. He is closed off around others, preferring to ignore than deal with questions or personalities that want to interact with him. When he does interact, however, it usually involves harsh jokes or shallow comments. Often times it is difficult to tell whether what he says is truly what he believes or whether it is just another way of him saying "leave me alone." Obadiah is aggressively defensive to consistent pestering and has no qualms with intimidating others if it will get them to shut up. The boy doesn't view life as an opportunity to find or experience happiness, rather seeing it as something that is meant to be survived.

It should be noted that Obadiah has absolutely no desire to go on a "damn kid's adventure." His excitement to finding out he had been given such an "opportunity" could be compared to the excitement a fish expresses after being caught in a net. There is a lot of movement and thrashing about involved but none of it stems from happiness over the situation. It should also be noted that Obadiah is consider a good boy (often times man rather than boy) by many that know him. He had always been aggressive and somewhat quiet, but the bitterness over his lot has twisted what was good into anger and sarcasm.

Obadiah was left in the care or his elderly grandmother as his lovely parents went off to enjoy more of their adventures without the burden of a child. So you might have to excuse Obadiah if he doesn't particularly enjoy the thought of going off on his own little adventure, abandoning his life and responsibilities….not to mention love. Oh sure, his parents wrote letter and kept in contact as often as possible. They would talk about all the amazing adventure they were having and all the wonderful sights they were seeing and how much they loved him. There was even a time that the boy lived for those calls and letters. That changed when they broke their promise to come back. Eventually the letters stopped coming. The phone no longer contained their voices. Obadiah was 9 at the time, almost ten. That was 7 years ago.

There is more you need to know to completely under why Obadiah hates the idea of having his own pokemon. Not long after his parents stopped contacting him, the boy's grandmother became sick. The doctor's did not think it was very serious. "She'll be better in no time," they said. Surprise, surprise….they were wrong. Not being old enough to take care of himself and with his parents nowhere to be found, the boy was to be sent to an orphanage in one of the larger cities nearby. (You might be wondering where Obadiah lives about now. Well, considering that the dark skinned youth does not like to tell….anyone really, I struggle to see why you should know. But I guess some would consider it important, so I will tell you that it was a little town called Libdon that is found not too far outside of Goldenrod. Anyways back to the history.) Thankfully, before that could happen, the local carpenter/contractor stepped up and offered to give the boy a place to live. The man's name was Barsidious Donaldson, and he had been a long time good friend of Obadiah's father. It would later be revealed that the man was actually his guardian, but that isn't important now. The man gave Obadiah a place to focus his anger. He gave him something to do. He tried multiple times to speak to the boy about why his parents left, but Obadiah would have nothing of it, though he would eventually learn that they had been killed on their way back home 7 years ago. Just two more casualties of war.

As time past, Obadiah became a part of the Donaldson family. Mary, the wife, was hesitant at first, but as time went by Obadiah proved to be a much needed help to Barsidious. The boy picked up Barsidious's craft rather quickly and was on the fast track to taking up the business himself one day. With all the damage from the war, there was never a lack of work for a carpenter/contractor. And it wasn't just the mother that was warming up to the boy. Meagan Donaldson, who was a year younger than the boy, and Obadiah had taken quite a liking to each other. Barsidious had even taken up the habit of asking when the wedding was going to be (joking of course, but he was quite aware that it was a possibility). Yes, everything was going well. Then it happened. Seven days before his 17th birthday, Obadiah was informed that he was going to become a trainer….and it was mandatory. He could no longer continue his work under Barsidious because it was illegal. In fact, the only thing he could do was be a trainer, making it impossible for him to support a family unless he got a pokemon and left to start his journey. Moral of the story, irony sucks.

He has spiky/messy dirty blonde hair.

Jax wears a tan T-shirt with a dark gray pattern of an eagle on it. However, this shirt is barely ever seen as he wears a red hoodie over it with a darker red Pokeball print on the front. He has a pair of black, comfortably fitting pants. His shoes are dark red, the same color as his fingerless gloves. His baseball hat is the same color as his hoodie, with a dark red Pokeball print on the side too.

Jax carries a gray backpack slung over his body so that it's across his chest from his shoulder. He has Pokeball capsules down the strap across his chest were he keeps his Pokeballs, unless he needs to leave his bag or wants to, in which case he'll attatch them to his Pokeball belt.

Personality: Jax is a very hard headed, knucklehead teenager. He rushes in to a battle without thinking about the consequences that might come from it. He overtrains himself and his Pokemon, sometimes found unconcous himself in the training area. He loves his Pokemon, and would do anything for them. He is not a very shy boy, in fact he is probably the most outspoken, open-minded kid you will ever meet. He never hesitates to voice his opinions, and never will.

He has very few friends, but those he does befriend will most likely be his friends for a long time. He is very loyal, and will do anything for his friends like he does for his Pokemon. He is very determined to become one of the greatest Pokemon trainers in the world, and also is searching for his older brother and father. He will never give up searching for them until he finds them.

History: Jax was born in Vermilion City, Kanto. His family consisted of his mother, father, older brother Sam, and himself. When he was about one, and Sam was about 4, the family moved to Nerbark Town, where Jax grew up his entire life. His family was very close, all being Pokemon lovers. His mother had been one of Kanto's top co-ordinaters, and his father had been a great trainer.

Two years ago, when Sam was 15, he had suddenly disappeared. He had gone out of town to find one of their Sentret that had escaped, and the next morning hadn't come home. When he, his father, and mother had all gone searching outside of town to find him, they instead found Sam's necklace in a tree, but that was all.

About a year ago, Jax's father had been sick and tired of waiting for something to happen about Sam, and had left to go find him in the region wherever he was. He had promised he would call ever single night. About a week in to those repetitive phone calls, they had suddenly stopped and his father had disappeared. Ever since then Jax has been determined to find both his father and brother, and therefore is going on this journey to find them.

As for Vamaar, your character would always have a change to interact, but that is entirely up to you to decide and put together. I may eventually include chapter where interaction is a must, but it will never be prohibited. But I do ask that interaction will be in the form of a joint post, not back and forth posting as that clogs the roleplay. You can simply play out the events through pm or msn or other social messaging sites and post the completed thing.

Johto had up to then always been a part of Kanto's landmass, but Kanto wanted to be free. A rebel organization popped up and grew under the leadership of a certain Marcus Antonius Gray.

Name: Todd Brillings
Age: 15
Gender: Male

Appearance: Todd is a thin guy. He's about average height, but way below average muscle size. He normally walks with his not-so-marked shoulders slightly crouched forward; he's got a terrible posture.

His eyes are dimly blue and his hair is light brown and not really well kept. He doesn't style his hair every morning, not even every other morning. He couldn't grow a beard even if he tried, and he most often wears glasses and can't see clearly more than a couple of meters in front of him if he doesn't.

He usually wears t-shirts of random brands and colors. He doesn't really care what. Jeans are standard and he doesn't really wear anything else down there. When outdoors, he wears a red and grey jacket that can withstand both rain and wind, but isn't the most stylish piece of clothing ever made. He usually wears a black or a gray hoodie under it.

He's got a pretty expensive watch on his left arm, but apart from it and his glasses, he doesn't wear any fancy stuff. He carries his belongings in a pretty big, black backpack. If he were to fill it up completely, he probably wouldn't have the strength to carry it.

Personality: Todd is a geek, that's the easiest way to put it. He's pretty social when he wants to, and he really wants to at times. But mostly online.

A normal day for Todd is spent in his room, in front of his computer, doing anything possible on the internet. If wars could be won online alone, he would be victorious any day, against any enemy. He is the king of gaming and a god when it comes to programming and technical systems. One of his hobbies is putting together new electronical devices from scratch parts or bought parts. He likes to think of himself as a genial inventor. Of course, he always keeps a channel open when he was putting together a new thingy, so that he could talk to his online friends at all times if he wanted to. So, he considered himself very social. He's also a sucker for science fiction and super heroes.

Others see him as rather impatient and nonchalant. Mostly that is because he wanted to get back to his online life instead of talking to whoever he was talking to in real life. He strikes you as a lazy teenager who wouldn't really survive on his own and who clearly doesn't know how much he relies on his parents.

He's got a pretty good sense of humor, but he doesn't really realize it. It's somewhat of the cynical, sarcastic type of humor. He's never hugged another girl than his mother, and he isn't really interested in doing so either.

Even though he plays super good characters in many online games, he isn't really leaning in any direction on any good/evil scale. He wouldn't hurt anyone on purpose, he supposes, but he wouldn't say no when somebody offered him something way too nice, when a really good hearted person would say "no, but thank you".

History: Todd lives in Violet City. In the wars, his parents had been working as well and as normally as they could, but it had been harsh. Todd hadn't grown attached to the internet yet, so he wasn't badly affected by the power shortages that occured frequently back then. He'd only seen how worried his parents were. They never wanted the war. Following their beliefs in his own way, Todd doesn't want any war today. He doesn't care if Johto is on its own or a part of Kanto. As he saw it, things had been better before, but there was no point in moping.

He does pretty well in school, even though he's been known to procrastinate important works at times. He stopped playing football when the war came, and didn't take it up afterwards. He took up his online life instead. He got many online friends from around Johto, some of which were pretty radical and disliked Kanto. But he also had many Kanto friends, who felt the opposite or just cared as little as he did himself.

When the fateful day came, when the president made it clear he had chosen Todd to participate in the new Johto League... Todd's world broke. He didn't believe it. Why the HELL would he be fitting for that task? It meant going out into the real world, something he rarely did if it wasn't for school or going to a WLAN party at a friend's house. His parents were immensely proud though, and urged him to go.

And pokémon? He thought they were beasts, or at least animals. He had never befriended any other than the family's old pet; Yooterii. His little sister liked pokémon and wanted to be a trainer, and she had been terribly jealous when he got chosen. But he'd gladly switch with her, if only he could... as he couldn't disobey the president, he packed his things and hitched a ride all the way to New Bark. He felt incredibly alone and strange out in this real world. It didn't please him at all.

Haha, there are a few key differences, I think, but yeah, they are rather similar. I enjoy how they're similar for different reasons, though; they both slouch but Todd slouches due to computer activity, whereas Alex slouches because he'd otherwise stand taller than everyone else. I think they'll be interesting people, to meet. And yeah, I'll send you a PM about it.
