Jrock, Jpop, Jurban/jRap

I only know one Asian artist and she is Korean. D:

Wait, is BoA a Korean or a Japanese singer?

J-Hip Hop always sounded strange to me. It's somewhat cute like "Flash" by HALCALI has a mix including J- Hip Hop.
It does, but I don't label my music files "J-Hip-Hop", I label it "Japanese Hip-Hop". For me, it is like the only "J" that sounds better if you just say the whole thing.

Meh, I know it is nothing like normal Hip-Hop but most people I know who hate Hip-Hop, love Japanese Hip-Hop.
Owell, it is just a matter of taste and opinon :o

Well I like quite a few but my fave is Yuna Ito

I heard that JRap isn't that good. :\
I would say that all depends on what you listen to. There are tons of horrible artists out there, but Japan has its fair share of good J-rap. Zeebra, mflo, Dragon Ash, ISSA, Shonannokaze Da Pump, there are a lot of good J-rap acts out there to be found. I'd recommend Dragon Ash, Zeebra, and Shonannokaze, Zeebra and Dragon Ash are a bit older, but I've always loved their music, and Shonan is just fun to listen to for jumpy songs.

I really like LM.C, An Cafe, Abingdon Boys School, UVERworld and MOSAIC.WAV(lol wut), but that has a lot to do with me being a complete nerd.

I'll listen to anything, really. Anything that's catchy~
My only peeve is when the bands INSIST on speaking English in every single one of their songs. UVERworld is an excellent example. Gekidou. That song's amazing, but is it really necessary to try and speak English when you just... can't? xD;

But that's just me~

Among notable Kingdom Heart artists, An Cafe before Bou left was a favourite band of mine; Escapism and Nyappy in the World were especially good.

I only enjoy J-rap when its infused with opera, thus the genre rap opera is a favourite too. Don't know a lot of bands who play it though.

Wow...no one has mention Nightmare yet? Everyone knows them for the WORLD and Alumina, but I'd say my favs are ~lulu~ and Pandora.
I also like Maximum the Hormone, L'Arc~en~Ciel, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, and Aural Vampire.
But Nightmare is the best by far. :D

I don't really listen to American pop, but I love J-pop! Some of my favorites are Ai Otsuka, Ayumi Hamasaki, and Shimatani Hitomi. I actually am not that fond of Hikaru Utada, maybe I just need to listen to more of her stuff.

I love YUI, L'Arc~en~Ciel, Orange Range, and mostly those voice actors with good singing voices. Like Minori Chihara.

There was a female singer who sang "Do Me More"... Who was it...?
