You have to if you want to become a member with special benefits. :\
 
I just buy a game then sell it at Gamestop; and buy a new one with the money I got with the game I sold. It's like a recycling system.

I completely agree. Besides, there are much better mmorpgs than Runescape for the PC that don't have any ''pay us some insane price every month and you'll get a shiny armor'' kind of things. <.<
Most people I know subscribe for a year. $60 isn't that much when you think about it.

It is, considering you could get one good game that doesn't require montly payment for the same price it costs for a member to play Runescape for a year.
 
It might be bad to you guys, but you can meet people interactively. You start clans. You use it as IM. Check out Runescape every once and a while and you might be suprised.
 
For some people, if the graphics aren't good they just leave. They need to play. XD

At first, I played RuneScape non-stop, but then faded away for a bit, and started playing.

I've been a member for a long time. XD And my cousin gave me his account with two-third's of a year, and another account he stole from an idiotic fool who hated him which has about the same amount of membership left.

Yay me. XD
 
Runescape has gotten out of style I must admit.

I've gotten to my 1000th post! I've been posting for less than a month.

I still play RuneScape, because it's just fun. XD

I still can't convert my music. XD
 
I never really got into MMOs much. I did spend a few months on Star Wars Galaxies, which was fairly ok. I'd rather have new games every so often than shelling out on one game for excessive amounts.
