most likely yes. its possible. a DS is only hardward. thats why computers have scrensavers. so that the same thing on the screen for hours wont mess up the screen
your probably fine though. i use my brothers DS to play pokemon and hes broken the joint so whole top half pops off at times. it works just fine though
