Okay, I got back into Pokemon about a week ago and I've gone full steem ahead, I've down the Pearl league, bought Pokemob Black, watched about 50 anime episodes and today I purchased some cards.

I thought I had bought a deck from WHSmiths but it turned out that it was a pack of 4 boosters with a figurine and a shiny. It was £13.99, they have gone up from when I collected extensively haha

anyway, I was wonderign if anybody has any experience playing competitively, what is it like? I feel like I am getting into it haha. The only person I've really played at it is my little sister when I was younger.

Since you're 19, you'll be playing in the Masters Division, the most competitive of the Organized Play divisions. Winning will be tough for a neophyte to competitive play such as yourself. Though I'm not much more experienced, having been to only 4 events in total myself.

What helps is to find a league near you using Pokemon.com's league locator/event finder and go there regularly and play.

Yeah sure, I have only got one energy card atm though so I need to get more cards first.

A good tip for starting to build in terms of energy is getting your hands on some of the ebay bulk auksons, the ones where people have lost the tast for the game but have sold the rare ones seprate, that way you can puck up energeys quite cheeply, I would also recommend a set of card protectors as if you have any identifying marks (espeshaly if you mix with older cards) then you can be acised of cheeting (by knowing what your cards are on the flip side).

You might find the best way to warm your self up is on the the on-line version of TCG pokemontcg.com and use only one desk through all of the tornamaents (even agenst they weakness of your deck), you will not always be at an even footing so pulling a win out of type weekness will be key.

Supose to sum up, prepare and know your deck inside out, then expect the worst, (gloomy I know) but then you can always rise, start form the bace and work up slowly :)

    Also best of luck
