I apologize for making a separate thread of this, but no one in Q/A is answering my question directly, or not at all.

Is your Pokemon X or Y game, through headphones, output mainly in stereo, or mono? You should notice this right off the bat when you start the game up and the main theme plays. Is the music spacious? Hearing different instruments slightly off put in different ears... or is it dull mono, even sound with both of your ears? How's the rest of the game in town or in routes or in battle?

A simple "My game is mainly mono" or a simple "It's all in stereo for me" will do. Thank you!

PS: Someone made a topic on reddit for this and I read the thread, but no one there is giving a direct answer, either.

Why does it matter to me? Because it does! I'm an audiophile, and I want to make sure I didn't get some botched cartridge or something.

First thing to do .... check to make sure your headphones are all the way in. Likely why no one has answered the question, because this is the most common reason something on the 3DS is in monaural.

Go to your 3DS/2DS settings and make sure that your system's sound is set to the right one. You'll have three options: Surround, Stereo, and Mono. Perhaps your setting is on Mono somehow.

If that doesn't fix it, then I don't know what to tell you, given that my game is playing in stereo.

If no one is answering your question, that means that people just don't have an answer for it yet. There's no need to make an entirely separate thread about your question when we have a Questions and Answers thread in this section. Please use that, and if no one answers your question, accept that no one knows the answer and you'll unfortunately have to find the answer on your own.
