I DON'T KNOW WTF IS GOING ON WITH THIS DAMN SIGNATURE PICTURE THAT KEEPS ENLARGING ITSELF!!!!!! THIS IS TWICE NOW!!!!! WHATEVER IS MESSED UP IT THIS WEBSITE'S CODE BETTER BE FIXED ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing has changed from last time you said this though....Upload your image to https://www.tinypic.com/ and use that instead of the server.

Changing the size when editing your signature does not work and it's not supposed to work. You have to use a program like GIMP or Serif PhotoPlus SE or a website like pixlr.com to resize the picture to dimensions where it doesn't cause your signature to break the rules. You then have to upload this newer version of the picture to either the server or to an image-hosting site.

IF IT IS TOO BIG, WHY IS THE SYSTEM ALLOWING IT TO BE UPLOADED THEN??????????

It's not the image itself that's breaking the rules. It's that and all the extra text and the music bars. Did you know that your signature takes up my entire screen?

Why don't you try taking out the music bars and text? Then it'll be within the limits with the picture unchanged.

so, a different story than what I was told last time, huh? changing your story? I was told last time it was the flying type fan club userbar that was the problem!!!!!!!!!

and why isn't there some sort of message system when you save the signature letting you know it is too big?

Justin, you need to calm your tits and read the damn signature rules. Your signature image would be fine if it wasn't for the excessive lines of text. Right now your signature image is a lot larger than the one before and because of that, you're allowed a different amount of lines in your signature. If you don't understand the signature rules, post a question in the thread before you update your signature.

We're currently working on new signature rules, but until those are up, you'll need to follow those. Read them here.

how big in pixels is the sigpic?

as far as I know, the sigpic upload doesn't change any image sizes (only avatars, profile pics, and a few gallery pics get resized for certain displays)

Just remember, the sig's overall size, including all text, images, audio, and etc., can't exceed the standards stated in the rules.

Well, at that time, it was the problem. It was pushing your image limit, which is 500x300, over the height limit, because your current image is 276 pixels tall, and the flying club banner was about 70 pixels tall, putting you at a total of 346 pixels in height for your images. From what I understand to be the current rules, your entire signature has to fit within a 600x350 box, and your signature is about 620 pixels tall, which is almost double the allowed height limit for signatures.

is there any way for me to measure it?

Nono, those are the signature rules that we're going to be changing to. The current ones are different.

The current size of your signature image is 500 x 276 pixels. You have a rather large set of text, and I think you should think about making it a bit less. Otherwise, your signature is fine and as was suggested, please read the rules on signature limits here. Follow that until we have the new rules set up (coming soon!), and if you have any more questions about if your signature is within the limits or not, then please use the Signature Rules & Review Thread. There's no need to overreact over something so trivial. That being said, I think this thread has run its course and needs to be locked up tight.

I have one more thing to add (sorry for breaking the lock).

The signature editing (and upload) system we have simply cannot measure your signature automatically. When your signature is disabled, it is done manually by someone on the staff and they flag your signature simply by seeing it and assuming it's over the limit. And then they check to make sure.

One way to check like a moderator would is to take a screenshot of your full signature in action (print screen button, sometimes PrtScr), paste it into paint, and then use the select tool to select ONLY your full signature, and put that in a new file and check its pixel height and width under attributes. Sounds like a bit of work but it really isn't and it's a foolproof way to know if your signature falls within the limits.

I know it's frustrating but use the review thread Hiiro linked and if you have any problems with my solution, just PM me and I can help you further. Also stay posted for the signature rule update which might help you out a bit. Shouldn't be long before it happens.
