[Question] Just started with Pokemon Essentials, I need some help!

Hi! I'm new to Pokemon Essentials and I need some help with general things. First, as I suck so hard with Photo editing I have a lot of trouble creating tileset from free-to-use tiles so, are there any good ready to use / free / good tilesets? If not, is there any way to learn about tiles pixelart? I would love to make my own tiles but I'm so bad... Second thing, how can I learn to use Pokemon Essentials in depth? I mean, change scripts, be able to create my own menus... all this things that to me seem to be very difficult (I think it's all related to Ruby on rails). This said, thank you very much for your help, I'd appreciate any video or tutorial related to any of my problems. Love you all <3

Here's a playlist of over 50+ essential walkthroughs, they go over just about all the basics.

As for spriting tilesets, you can find them on Pintrest and Deviantart, just make sure they give you permission to use them first.
Look for 32x32 tilesheets, otherwise you'll have to resize them yourself.
From there you could modify them in GIMP/Photoshop quite easily (recolors at the very least)

I started with Thundaga's tutorial. He will be on the honorable section of my credits.
Although I give credits, I don't ask for permission. It would be hypocritical to ask permission for some features of your pokemon games, because Nintendo is already denying your permission to use their material to make a pokemon game, and you don't comply.

Just FYI you'll be breaking the rules here if you post your project without permission to use all the assets (e.g. graphics, sounds, code, etc) that you didn't personally create. A bunch of these things state that you're allowed to use them, and for the rest you'll have to reach out and ask.

I'm sympathetic to your argument, but those are the rules.

Ok. I'm aware of that, and that PC is the best. But someone could learn here and promote itself outside this community, like darkrisinggirl, whose Dark Rising 3 will probably have 25k+ downloads.

Yeah, I'm sure you're aware, I was just making sure that everyone who reads your message understands that PC doesn't agree with your position and so they'll have to take their game elsewhere if they want to adopt it. You're right that Dark Rising is very popular off-site, and there's a bunch more like that (Reborn comes to mind) so it's definitely not a death sentence for your project, but it might make growing a little slower since you won't be allowed to advertise on PC or its Discord server.

Here is a guide, with RSE/FrLg/Custom tilesets.

You can obtain a good number of downloads without posting your game at several places. I posted my game in only two forums (one is PC), and it has a lot more downloads than Darkrising. I believe that the main reason was youtube. I got several videos with more than 10k views. One was more than 400k and another one was more than 200k.
