Just want to get your guys' opinion here.

I've been screwing around with my profile's background ever since I became a supporter and I think I finally got what I want my profile to look like either for now on or until I get bored of it . Just trying to decided what amount of padding I like better. So I thought I get your guys' input. So which do you like better.?

Personally I like 120px more cause I can get the boat in the image and I think ti looks better.

Out of the two...I'd pick the first one. The boat looks a little random there. Plus, it isn't like it is 'fully' visible even in the second one, right? I'd mess around with the image a little more of I were you, tbh. OR better still, use an invisible profile picture or go for the youtube video disappearance trick. That'll make the boat visible without you having to mess around with the image in both these padding settings. :D

As invisible profile picture you mean you that matches the background right?

And you mean have a YouTube video as my profile picture?

No, I literally meant 'invisible' profile picture. Here, have a look - a 300x500 invisible pic.

You can make one by saving a transparent image using photoshop. :) Also, you probably aren't aware of the youtube thingy I'm talking about. There's a trick which enables you to put an empty youtube video as a profile pic and then make the video disappear giving you some really nice extra space which you can use. Nica made a blog entry where she explained everything that you need to do for the trick to work, iirc. But yeah, invisible profile pic is much easier. Especially if you're tier 5.

Ak ok I see. Might try the inviible profile picture, Just another question will I have to set my Border Style to "None" if I want the invisible profile picture to work? (As if I have border on my profile will it show up if my profile pic is invisible? )

The only thing you need to do is make sure that the "Block Borders" are set to transparent. Both of them. AND the secondary content area's background too. All three of them have to be set to 'transparent' for it to work.

Ah this might take me a while to figure out. I should of ask this earlier , but I'm only tier 2 supporter, I can still do this right?

Hmm, then I think you should try the stuff that's in Nica's blog entry. Check that out. Forget the invisible profile picture thing; it is only beneficial if you can have profile pictures larger than the area a youtube video occupies when set as a profile picture. Tier 2 don't have the permissions to have profile picture as large as those. :(
