Hoenn and Sinnoh, beause their legendaries control the sea (Kyogre), ground (Groudon), time (Dialga) and space (Palkia). Arceus (considered the 'Pokemon God') is also a Sinnoh Pokemon.
As for Kanto and Johto, their legendaries aren't that strong.
Arceus may not be so strong in the game, but it was only 'weakened down' from it's true power to make the gameplay fair. Oh yes, and with the issue of Mewtwo just super cloning every Pokemon, well, Arceus can just blow them to kingdom come anyway.
So really, no competition. And BTW, from what I've seen on this thread, mainly the only reason Kanto/Johto is winning the poll is because of peoples' biased personal preferences.

Arceus can't really be considered Sinnoh, because he's in the NATIONAL dex, and not the SINNOH dex. And what do you mean 'weakened down'? Are you referring to his true power in the movie or something? If you are referring to the movie, then you shouldn't forget that he lived IN A DIFFERENT DIMENSION, and last I checked, a different dimension wasn't part of Sinnoh, so I think it's safe to say, Arceus belongs to NO region.

  • Probably Hoenn and Sinnoh because of the massive amounts of legendaries they have introduced (its getting to where even legendaries suck).

But Kanto and Johto have strength in numbers (barely).

I think its a problem that all the newer pokemon are getting stronger and stronger with each generation making the old ones obsolete.

Regardless, any Pokemon from the legendary weather and dragon trios have power far superior to almost any 1st/2nd Gen Pokemon. As I said earlier, they have the power to control, or at least greatly influence the formation of seas and continents (I'm talking massive tsunamis and earthquakes here) and also the dimensions of time and space. And those Pokemon ARE listed in the Hoenn and Sinnoh Pokedexes, don't beleive me? Check for yourself.

  • Put everstones on Tangela,Misdreavus,Electabuzz,Magmar,Porygon or any others. Now let see how the Gen.IV get Mismagius,Tangrowth,Electrive,Magmortar,Porygon Z or any others.
If Gen.I/II didn't exist, you guys wouldn't get such powerful Pokemons !!! You should be thankful for Kanto and Johto.

PS : Pikachu is a Kanto native ONLY.The ppls escort them to Hoenn and Sinnoh so that other trainers can catch it.Imagine a world without Kanto and Johto,Then they are no more Gen.III/IV.

  • I would probably say Kanto and Johto but Hoenn and Sinnoh are a pretty good bunch of Pokemon also and much stronger too but the Kanto Pokemon are sure strong and Johto was pretty weak because they had the least amount of legendaries to date. To be fair I'd say it would be a draw.:)
