As far as hours are concerned being put into our pokemon games, some of us may have as little as fifteen hours, while others may have 500+ hours.

This thread is for those people who have very little hours on their cartridges and wonder what more they can do on the pokemon games without getting bored of them or starting over. This will soon spiral into..... NOT LIKING POKEMON ANYMORE! (never a good thing)

As a person who has been through this many times and has gotten bored and started a new game time and time again, I am proud to say i now have 200+ hours on both my heartgold and platinum.

So cutting to the chase .. How do you keep interest in pokemon games?

I say the answer is to train as many pokemon as you can and to start getting into more advanced methods of playing such as finding shinies, ev training, breeding for natures ect. what say you?

Errrm, Pokedex challenge!? In Platinum that must take the best part of your whole life

I've completed my Pokedex w/ all Pokemon in my boxes in just 300 hours on Diamond. Now I still play it occasionally, but its mostly for breeding for other games.

I get bored after finishing the main plot line.
But now I'm fighting not to restart my SS, so I'm doing the Battle Tower Challenge.

I stop playing them for a while. As Kirbychu said, there are plenty of other games out there to play. No need to just focus on one. Also, there are other activities to do.

When I do play, I try to think up different tasks for me to do at different times. For instance, I'm playing now to try and complete my Pokedex. When I get bored of that and return to the game, I might try to EV train a Pokemon or raise a Pokemon for contests. Otherwise, I will get bored of the games.

I play other games - I like a lotta other games besides Pokemon.

Also, challenges are always a good option for having some new ingame experiences.

I EV train, IV breed, breed, Egg Move breed, explore, trade, finish the live dex, do challenges, and grind random Pokemon I've never used before.
