This can be close or whatever when my question is resolved, kind of obvious (ithink) but how do I get my wifi connection working?
I go to the beggining bit where ti says nintendo wifi connection, my main computer's acces has a grey lock and one called default has a blue lock, but is ow connection and doesnt work.
Is there an easier way to connect, or how would I resolve my current problem? thanks :)

Have you set your WIFI up yet (i know silly question)
if not then on the main screen where you can load a game
go down to WIFI setting or something and setup a new connection

    that should sort it

this is what i did :

    1, load up Platinum game
2, go to "Nintendo WFC Settings"
3, click on "Nintendo WIFI Connection settings"
4, click on "search for an access point"
    4, enter security code

    and then its done :)
not sure if its the same as the other versions of the game

it means that it requires a security code
is the WIFI connection yours? if so getting the code will be easy
look underneath the base of the WIFI box and you should see it

Be sure it's a WEP security. As far as I know, ninDS doesn't support other kinds of wireless securities.

If it's not, you might want to try changing it in your router settings.

did you make sure that you entered the correct code?
do you know your network security? as only WEP works

after you set it to WEP, you (i think) need to make a new password
once done you will need to enter that password into the DS

No if you change the security to WEP, im guessing it was something else
you may need to change the password and thenuse that password on the DS

if you had a security setting on it before
then if you change it to WEP i think that you need to change the password
this is because different Security settings such as WEP all use different password protection
such as number of characters and all that

When using wep, there are 4 password key's generated from the password you enter as security.
Depending on the device you either need to enter the first wep key pass, or the original password.
For the DS (and wii) you need to enter the first key it generates.
