King of the Swing!

It also bypasses the effects of Burn, & other stat decreases.

I wasn't trying to say bring a slaking against a skamory under reflect I just don't trust shoddy first off because one on wifi I rarely miss versus shoddy where my drifblim never hits with hypnosis, secondly how come the articuno set you gave me can survive a Starmie with choice specs using thunderbolt without light-screen but cannot survive a critical hit from a magmortar who is using thunderbolt when I have light screen up? ... ~TDB

What DA and sims said. Also, how in the world is that relevant? Not to mention it's inaccurate :/

Anyways, need any more help with Slaking sims? I love that thing and use it a lot, so I can help here.

Not so much. The final set is:

Slaking@Choice Band
Nature:Adamant/Jolly
EQ
Focus Punch
Return
Pursuit
EV:252 ATK, 252 SPD

Now, I do need help with that little side note I had posted in the first post.

Looks good. I vote adamant as you know, but I wonder what the coin thinks...heads or tails sims? lol

well either you go full power, or don't bother. so adamant.

and i'm not a fan of pursuit on slaking. only obvious pokes like blissey would switch out, but that's about it. perhaps there are switch "happy" people who will switch physical walls because they are exactly that -- physical walls, but if someone has the oppoortunity to take out a slaking, i think they would.

Samson beats the coin with a 2-1. He owes me a Quarter.

So either Shadow Claw or Night Slash.

Night Slash, since it has a high Critical ratio, & it hits more than Ghost.

Shadow Claw isn't resisted by fighters though, and I think it has higher base power, but I'm not sure. Shadow Claw doesn't hit normals either.

I'm pretty sure those are about the only differences, so w/e you choose. Yuck, I'm not really familiar with some of these moves though, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Ah, but Gengar, not that I WOULD go up against him, resist every one of his moves, sans Dark. I like the high crit, about time hax works for me (Damn Togekiss), and fighters, well, I have three other moves. Never know when Focus Blast will miss, you know, if they were our final pokes.

So, Night Slash.

Shadow Claw has high crit too.

I'd go with Night Slash so they can't pp stall by switching between a Ghost and a Normal.

i reccomend using it in a double battle with something like this as a partner for it

cherrim@leftovers/focus sash
???nature
protect
worry seed
helphing hand
filler- (leech seed maybe?)

it's just an example, i would reccomend something that can use worry seed on slaking to get rid of traunt and protect so slaking can use EQ

Very few people participate in double battles, and having one of your pokes devoted to helping the other seems a bit stupid to me.

Rather, Claydol might work better, passing Levitate to Slaking, while fufilling it's own goals. He can then pass Truant to the enemy.

That's really obvious and Regigigas does it better. They'll just wipe out either Claydol or Slaking first.

Considering I've only heard of you doing single battles, I wouldn't even bother with getting rid of traunt. It's plenty good enough at hit and run.

I didn't say it's usable. But a strategy non-the-less. Especially compared to Cherrim. Geez, I swear.

Compared to Cherrim it's like Deoxys-A.

Really though, slaking is the funnest to bring in on stuff like SpecsGar locked into Shadow Ball, and launching a Double-Edge or Focus Punch to totally obliterate the incoming poke. I swear, Slaking rocks. Why it's lower OU is beyond me :(

Because it is possible to both outpredict, overpredict, & underpredict, at the same timewith this thing, if that was understandable. But Hypnosis Gar always annoyed me. I'd love this to work with my Grumpig. He's Shadow Ball bait.

one thing tho. you can rid him of truant, but you can't rid regigigas of slow start.

unfortunate =(

well, from what i read, Skill Swap was used on several pokemon including Regigigas and from that, they concluded that its ability could not be removed regardless of what move.

but hey, gastro acid might work. give shuckle some usage why don't they heh

(btw i love shuckle so do not spam my pm box with hate mail. i already have the pc staff all up my butt! >=D)
