In my free time I have decided to create a universal Pokemon handbook, it will teach you all you need to know, this is for diamond, and pearl, I will get to other versions in the near future. As for now, this is a big project, I have to catch EVERY SINGLE Pokemon, so and get the best leveling strategies, this will also teach you the following:

      • The easiest ways to get all 8 badges
      • The easiest ways to get all the legendary Pokemon
      • The easiest way to level up ALL your Pokemon
      • Some attack strategies
      • Good attacks to have
    So lets get started!

    Larvys Universal Pokemon Handbook
    Turtwig
Pokedex Description: Diamond; Made from soil, the shell on its back hardens when it drinks water. It lives along lakes. Pearl; It undertakes photosynthesis with its body, making oxygen. The leaf on its head wilts if it is thirsty.
    Good Attacks To Have:
Giga Drain [Level 41]; Leaf Storm [Level 45]; Synthesis [Level 33]; Crunch [Level 37].
    Attack Strategy:
Attacking First; Start off with a Leaf Storm, you haven't been hit, so Giga Drain isn't needed to get some health back, nor is Synthesis. Crunch doesn't work for every Pokemon. The other Pokemon will attack. From now on use Giga Drain, it will keep your health at a constant rate, if it doesn't do much damage, try Crunch. When you get low health points, use Synthesis to heal yourself. Attacking Second; You've now been hit, use Giga Drain to get back the health you've lost, use it for the rest of the battle, if it doesn't do much damage, use Crunch, or Leaf Storm, when you get to low health, use Synthesis to heal yourself.

    Grotle
Pokedex Description: Diamond; It lives along water in forests. In the daytime, it leaves the forest to sunbathe its treed shell. Pearl; The shell is hardened soil. Some Pokémon come to peck the berries growing on the trees on its back.
Good Attacks To Have: Giga Drain [Level 47]; Leaf Storm [Level 52]; Synthesis [Level 37]; Crunch [Level 42].

The idea is not the newest, but still a good one, but you don't have to catch any Pokemon and test it, you could simply look up its stats and movepool on for example Bulbapedia.
And you can't really say what do do with a Pokemon (other than Ditto maybe) in the first and second round, it will always depend on the enemy, aways. If, let's say Turtwig (which does a lot better with physical attacks than mixed or purely special) is facing Exeggcute, it's a completely different situation than facing Barboach.

But I agree with Mondays Suck, it's a completely different situation for every Pokemon you face; Also, what you've put down makes it seem like every little thing is a level 100 Beast/Tank with Flash Fire, Volt Absorb and Water Absorb >(

This'd make it a bigger job, but you could say how each pokemon reacts to different types. And then add in Dual Types; A massive job, but if you finshed... I'd be very, very impressed. I'd help out, of course. :D Just think on that for a while, kay? Also, haven't received a PM. :|
