3rd Gen Lati@s trick in Emerald?

    Does the Lati@s trick mentioned in the R/S guide work for emerald as well, or did they fix it so jumping won't enable the eventual running into them? ^^; Asking because I want latias on my Emerald already XD, I reset sapphire a lot, so still need to bring that back up, so until I do, I can't catch latias on it >_< (Stupidly chose Latias on Emerald as well -.-)
     
    It doesn't work. xD I tried it...for like 6 hours and checked the Area it was in several times...it never moved. Latias only moves around in Emerald when you go in/out of buildings or into another city/route. Which sucks. -.-
