Latias/Latios Tournament (Round Two)

I suppose I must join, since I was the first to propose the tournament. =p (I'm getting into being more active again, I've just been reeeeeaaaally busy as of late)

So yes, sign me up please Beachy.

No items? What's a competitive tournament without items? Of course, items will be used.

However you can't have soul dew on Lati@s. And the item clause (can't have more then the same item) should be turned off during these battles.

I need your PC server Shoddy nick to sign you up.

So to answer your question and clarify more. Once we have 16 full, we start when I put up the match-ups and the title changes to Round 1 we start the week. You have a week to then contact your opponent and battle them. So once you see the title change, Round 1 and the week or Round 1 begins. :D Then after all battles we make a week for Round 2 and so forth.
 
This isn't going anywhere... even if you get 16 sign ups, people have no way of testing their teams out before officially battling at round 1. No one would want to reveal their team to their opponent.. therefore it's harder to actually test and experience Lati@s in OU play. Any solution to this?
 
Well everybody knows my two main teams anyways...

I would say that (this might sound shady but meh) is to make an alt. account under a different name so people don't know. I do that on the official server and my alt. account is closing in on the top 100 =D

If you don't wanna do that, I imagine somebody on the official server would volunteer to test your team for you. That's about all I got >_>

Also, we aren't drawing any REAL conclusions from this, are we? Half the people I've talked to aren't even using one of the lati@s, and the competence of the user and the opponent of the user varies in a few cases I would assume. Just want to be sure that's clear (and I did read the first post =D)

EDIT: I think the timed matches rule is a bad one. I trust the people here aren't going to stall you get somebody to forfeit or anything. Having a timed battle only rushes things and most importantly, gives no benefits. I just don't see the point to be honest. If there is a reason...can I please know? I hate timed battles with quite a passion.

Though I could use FailDisc to make my opponent laugh through all 5 minutes so I could win =D

Well... We may not draw much from this, but regardless... It is a tournament and we DO want to also have fun, are you two saying we shouldn't have it then?

Sya, that is a problem I was thinking about... And yeah, Anti pretty much said the only "possible" solutions. =/

No, I'd love to have such a trounament...I just think as a testing too lthat decides its tier standing it would be totally worthless. I can't wait for the tourney though ^_^
 
I would gladly fill the last slot but as I said already there's no point in this if I can't test it beforehand.. and that solution is very very shaky.

Once I post the matchups, I'll have to log off, so whoever is battling me... sorry. XD

EDIT: Gah, problem we need one more sign up. >_> The list was miscounted.. ONE MORE, someone go grab a kid and bring him in here. >D

Now come on, anybody can win. the best approach to a battle is to feel loose and confident, like you have nothing to lose (as in a Ney York Giants kind of thing). It helps against shoddy top 100 opponents, believe me =D Believe you can win, because everybody has the same shot as somebody else at winning this tournament.

I can't wait to see how many Pursuit abusers are going to be in this tourney =D

Yeah.Mostly Weavile.Let's see them say that to my bulky team designed to defend Lati@s and kill them first.Although I'll try to fire some confidence into myself.

Yeah? Well if I beat ABY (and I prolly won't even get that far anyway), then I might be up against Anti-Pop. And then I'll lose.
 
And Im against Beach Boy. BB, did you rig it so you win *says jokingly*.

And guys, stop being so negative, Im sure we all have an equal chance of winning.

Plus, its the players, not the Pokemon, so Im sure even if someone has a Lati and someone doesn't, it will still be an equal match.
