Today I had just gotten my LeafGreen from Game Stop. It was a Used copy and had a saved file on it. I erased the file, and started a new one. I had chosen Bulbasaur, and when I beat Pewter Gym, my gameboy's stereo when berserk and started jamming. The game froze and I was stuck. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I had to start another game.

It's probably just a temporary glitch. That's what happens when you take the cartridge out when you're playing; maybe it was a bit loose. Make sure you save quite often; I usually save before I fight gym leaders.

Yeah, also, it has trouble reading the game sometimes. I need to put it in and blow on it several times for it to read.

You shouldn't blow on it, the coils can get rusty, try cleaning it with a dry cloth, it should work fine, and if the game file deletes after the E4, that means it wasn't saved as 128k and it's a fake.

It might not have read the game properly, or the game wasn't inserted in enough.

Check what color your GamePak is; if it's black then it's a fake.

    An eBay counterfeit guide said:
How to tell by Looking at your Gameboy Cartridge

Cartridges are easy to tell the difference if you know what you are looking for!
Believe me, I have even found Counterfeit Carts in EB games second - hand section
and I had to show them how to tell the difference...
Get your Cartridges and look in where the Connector Pins are-
A Genuine game WILL ALWAYS say NINTENDO and have a Serial Number
    just behind the Pins!

    [PokeCommunity.com] "Leaf Green Problem"

See just above the Pins you can see Writing .. It says the YEAR and © and NINTENDO and the Serial Number!
But hopefully you didn't buy a counterfeit game.

Of course, there's always the chance that that glitch is what caused the original owner to sell it in the first place.

I checked and it is legit. Any other suggestions?

As I mentioned earlier, it may be just an unfixable glitch created by the previous owner - it happened to me too. If all else fails, you may need to bring it back to GameStop and ask them about it. :/ That's the downside for used games.

    Probably...

I think It's a glitch when the perious user used to paly the game. But I also think that The pervious owner might have hacked in the game by using a gameshark? But hopefully that The jammed glitch is gone by now...

Hey, my games makes that all the time!
(they seem to do it especially much when i'm at Battle Tower, in a QS-Dungeon in PMD m.m.)
Just take it out and insert it again, you might have touched it sideways by an accident, for example when SRing it i always hit it with the Thumb...

Does the Speaker play like a Radio on wrong frequency?(like Krzzzft... Zhwizzhp... Wzzzhizp m.m.) then you just hit your gamepak...

yeah it happens to me sometimes. you probably got dust in it or you accidentaly took it out a bit(its very easy to do) take it out and clean it or blow in it (dont blow to much or as pkmnhippy said it will rust) ps. save as much as you can! you never know whats going to happen! one time my little brother played ruby for 3 hours and beat 3 gym leaders but it glitched and he didnt save once so he had to start all over.
