3rd Gen Leafgreen berries

Well recently I've been item hunting, and I find alot of berries. And their description is it can be used for medicine. What exactly can I do with these berries?

You can make a berry powder from them using the machines in the union room, in the second floor of the Pokémon Centers, that a guy in cerulean Town will exchange by items such as Hp Up, proteine, etc.

In FR/LG they don't have another use.

Well, they don't have a NEW use, but you CAN still use them/give them to Pokemon during battles.
