Some things to keep in mind are the game modes available:
    • Summoner's Rift 5v5: The classic mode of League of Legends, the goal of the game is to destroy the enemy Nexus!
    • Twisted Treeline 3v3: Battle as a team of 3 to capture altars and destroy the enemy Nexus. This mode is pretty fast paced compared to Summoner's Rift.
    • ARAM: 10 randomly selected champions assemble on a narrow bridge in a frozen land. The goal is like any other game mode and that's to destroy the enemy Nexus.
    • Rotating Game Mode: This changes every two weeks. The name a few days of it usually isn't released until a few days before it's set to go live. The game modes are: Ascension, Legend of the Poro King, Nexus Siege, One for All, All Random Ultra Rapid Fire, Hunt of the Blood Moon, Doom Bots of Doom, Dark Star: Singularity, Definitely Not Dominion, Hexakill: Twisted Treeline, Ultra Rapid Fire, Hexakill, All Random Summoner's Rift, and Nemesis Draft.

Do keep in mind the League community has come up with their own game modes that use a custom game to play. Things such as Hide & Seek, and Ultimate Bravery. There are a few more that you can find here, but the Crystal Scar (rip my sweet prince) no longer exists so some might not be possible.

Another thing to consider in terms of the theme is maybe taking a look at the main 6 classes Riot has for each champion:
    • Assassian
    • Fighter
    • Mage
    • Marksman
    • Support
    • Tank

TD you definitely, DEFINITELY need to do an Ultimate Bravery game for sure! I am really excited to see this in action, if you need anything let me know. Do you want me to put something up in VG to get some potential interest/signups?

How will you cover different regions? For example I know there are a few Oceania etc players so will you cater to them or stick to the more popular regions?
An interest check/sign ups would be great! Just to see who's actually interested. As for regions, we both play on NA. I would like to incorporate other regions if someone is willing to host them on their respective servers, I would have no issue with that.

    Ultimate Bravery - YES PLEASE?!!!!!!?!!!?!!!!?!?!!!!!

Rotating Game Modes - We're almost certainly looking at Invasion for the weekends in question. This is actually a good opportunity, as invasion (better known as "that new Star Guardian bullshit") is super fun with a premade.

Role thing? - I'd be down for a game or two of Assassin Mode or Marksman Mode a la the esports All Star event, even if I play neither of those two roles (and for a good reason...)

Game modes in general - Summoner's Rift is the standard, and I see no reason to deviate here, especially if we're doing Ultimate Bravery at some point.

Other thing I wanted to bring up is the whole "house" system for this GT. I mean, when you really think about it, League is basically Quidditch when you really think about it. Actually no that's wrong. Whatever.
We can try to make any games we play fully house vs house, but mix it up when needed.
I was thinking this might be a good chance to abuse the clubs system that tbh no one uses ever. Make a club for each house, and have everyone set the tag of their house when playing with us. Makes it easier to award points too.
As far as points are concerned, LoL is in a bit of a different spot than a tournament-style thing due to being a team-oriented game. I don't know how to do this yet. Pinging Rabinov for his opinion here.

Also on the note of regions: NA, being NA, is probably where most of this will happen, but i'd not be opposed to other regions having some availability as well.

Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure I do have an account on EUW, not entirely sure what level the account is so I might be able to host events there too. As for points, it'd be cool if we could do something with the ranks that League currently has: Challenger, Master, Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

See, using the existing league ranks probably requires me to get my sorry ass out of Bronze IV, which I'm too lazy to do (insert obligatory "all ADCs are shit in bronze and im a support main" argument).

I think it might be hard to always find 5 from every single team to play, so there might be some mixed stuff. My evil plot was to award points to players based on team victory rather than individual skills. 2 points per player on a winning team (10 total) and 1 point for every two matches a given player participates in regardless of result results in a total of 30 points being awarded per two matches, which is about the same as a daily event with 10 players awards (10+7+5+7*1=29). That way, if we average around 2 games per day it works out almost the same as everything else.

Other gamemodes are called into question here too. I think 1 point per player for a successful invasion onslaught done as a 5-man seems fair, and Ultimate Bravery I think just giving 2 points to everyone who plays is good because that gamemode is super luck based.

    I'm down with this!

Bumping this to state that the Star Guardian mode is quite the challenge, especially onslaught. I've played it quite a few times. Should be something fun to do with 5 people.

Onslaught is fun as hell if you get multiple people in a Skype call (or Discord, I guess). I had fun with just the group of three I had, so I can't even imagine 5.

Anyway, times. Barring sudden changes of plans, I can do around 9-11 PM my time on weekdays if I plan my work ahead, which I think works out because that is basically prime time (6-8) on the West Coast as well. Weekends are... ugh. I wish I could make out my weekend schedule more than 2 hours in advance. Ideally, my Saturday is free from either noon to 5 or 7:30 to midnightish, with the other time slot being reserved for homework (I can mix it up too). However, I still answer to my parents and have a closet to clean, so that could change. Sunday is a total toss up. I could either be free all day or be told saturday night that I'm going to visit family for the entirety of Sunday.

Gonna post these notes I have here so they don't get lost in the Discord channel:

    Game Events:
    5v5 Summoners Rift
    Invasion (Normal or Onslaught)
    Ultimate Bravery (https://www.ultimate-bravery.com/)

    Points:
Two (2) points per player on the winning team
One (1) point for every two matches a given player participates in
One (1) point for a successful Invasion: Onslaught done as a 5-man
Two (2) points to everyone who plays Ultimate Bravery

Please take a screenshot of the end game screen and send it to us so we can accredit you your points.

    Clubs:
Add Soohyuk (NA server) for Consortia. (Please inform tokyodrift that you've sent the request to be added to the club)
Add Kat in the Box (NA server) for Vestigo. (Please inform tokyodrift that you've sent the request to be added to the club)
Pending Doctrina from Decidueye (Please send Decidueye a message here on PC letting us know you sent a request to be added to the club)
Add yveltalthebolt for Gloria. (Please inform Decidueye that you have sent him a request)

Please wear your club tags when playing with us! It makes our job about 50 times easier, trust me.

NA players: please add both of the hosts, ddrox13 (Decidueye) and Jongdae (tokyodrift) to your friends list. Post here to let us know your Summoner Name so we don't dismiss you as a filthy rando.

Hey Pok?Community! Welcome to the Get Together's League of Legends event!

I'm Decidueye, and my significantly more competent co-host is tokyodrift. We're here to help organize fun League of Legends games for your personal amusement.

    Game Events:
5v5 Summoners Rift - You all know what this is. The default game mode. Pick a champ, beat up the other team's Nexus, profit.
Invasion - The Rotating Game Mode for the GT's duration. In it, you play as the Star Guardians to defend Vaolran from invading Void creatures. This is a PvE mode with two different levels: Normal and Onslaught.
Ultimate Bravery (https://www.ultimate-bravery.com/) - Unarguably the best game mode period end of story. Get assigned a random champion (you can reroll if you don't own it) and a random build that you MUST follow. Chaos.

    Points:
Two (2) points per player on the winning team
One (1) point for every two matches a given player participates in
One (1) point per player for a successful Invasion: Onslaught done as a 5-man
Two (2) points to everyone who plays Ultimate Bravery

Please take a screenshot of the end game screen and send it to us so we can accredit you your points.

    How to Join:
First, post your Summoner Name and Region in this thread. Then, NA players should send a friend request to both of the hosts, ddrox13 (Decidueye) and Jongdae (tokyodrift) to your friends list.

Once that's done, join the Get Together's Discord! We'll be using the League of Legends voice rooms there for voice chat!

We'll attempt to schedule some times here as well, but if you happen to be on Discord and see either me (my Discord nickname will be doctrinarox13) or tokyodrift (airplane on Discord) hanging out in either of the Voice rooms, join us and we'll see what we can do to set a game up!

    Clubs:
This GT, we have clubs for each of the houses! You know, the Club feature that no one uses. Well, we're doing it. Note: these clubs are for the North America region only.
Consortia House: After posting your Summoner Name here and adding both the hosts, add Soohyuk on League and PM tokyodrift to request a club invite.
Vestigo House: After posting your Summoner Name here and adding both the hosts, add Kat in the Box on League and PM tokyodrift to request a club invite.
Gloria House: After posting your Summoner Name here and adding both the hosts, add yveltalthebolt on League and PM Decidueye to request a club invite.
Doctrina House: After posting your Summoner Name here and adding both the hosts, you should already have ddrox13 on League, so just PM Decidueye to request a club invite.

Please wear your club tags when playing with us! It makes our job about 50 times easier, trust me. If you already have 3 clubs you really don't want to leave, mention that in your post here so we can keep track.

And that should be it! Good luck, and we hope to see you on the Rift!
