4th Gen Legends - Real or not?

There isnt enough memory for it to be factually correct, or the powers have been lessened for gameplay, either or, its not factually correct...

I don't know if the anime/movies is actually "canon" with the game, especially with the entire Mewto thing.
In Leaf Green, if you wander around Cinnabar Mansion reading the journals, it explains that Mew actually gave birth to Mewtwo. There was no cloning involved.

However, if Mew gave birth to a being as powerful as Mewtwo, it makes you wonder what else went on-- seeing as it is the ancestor of all Pokemon. Maybe all water Pokemon are descendants of Kyogre who are descendants of Mew, and so on.

No Kyogre CREATED the sea, and Lugia was like OMG I like the sea and protected the sea, and Manaphy was all like I like the sea, soIm its prince, but who's the king of the sea? And Giratina lives in a random maze surrounded by flowers, I think he's kind of a twisted dood.
actually i believe giratina represents both life and death
AND THE GAMES CAME BEFORE THE ANIME SO TELL ME WHATS MORE ACCURATE? I BELIEVGE THE GAMES ARE.

The games came before the anime...anime sucks, as well, so I class the games as canon.

Erm, are you arguing with yourself there? cuz im sure you made the point that the games weren't realistic.

So we've now established the games are right and anime isn't totally right. Im not saying its wrong, but the games are the number 1 source and should be trusted when it comes to contradictions between the two mediums. Back onto the thread...

Theroies behind the significance of shaymin anyone?

How am i contradicting myself, im saying both make the game not factually correct because theres not enough memory or the gameplay would be crappy.

The games contradicting itself, lets forget about the anime. Because the gameplay or memory restricts them the writtings in the game dont match the pokemon because they dont have the power they are said to have. And so I believe the writtings in the games are not true but legends, or else the people who made the game didnt think of this and just made a game that little kids dont question....

Sorry I thought you were justifying their lack of power. Which you did, you just didnt mean to lol.

well for shaymin when mew created celebi to protect the forests it left shayminb to protect/ have to power of flowers and plains or something like that...

Its a nice idea, but I'm one of the people who believes mew is rather mundane and literally the ancestor poke. He isn't capable of creating a time traveller.

Plus celebi is in no way in control of plant life. He's just a poke wandering around time. He is more connected to dialga if anything.

SIlly me, I posted the question but not my own theory. Here goes...

After Kyogre and Groudon were calmed but before they went into slumber, they each created a poke to allow their respective domain to flourish. Kyogre created manaphy (Currently no evidence to support this but im sure there's a connection, 5th gen may bring answers) and Groudon made shaymin. After making the land barren through droughts, Groudon used shaymin to rectify this and make it a happy place again.

Like I said, perhaps 5th gen games will bring about more info on the more mysterious pokes.

West, read into the mythology books in the pokemon games. It states arceus made the universe (Or the pokes who made it, but still he was the main contributor).

Plus, theres bigger non-legends. People dont worship wailords :)

i think that Deoxys and palkia have something between each other because Palkia controls space and Deoxys is a space pokemon (or something like that)

Erm its wrong. Palkia doesnt control literal space which we fly around with rockets in. He controls everything inside the universe (If that makes sense). You kinda took the idea of space too literally. Eg if there was no palkia, nothing but time would exist.

As for the connection with deoxys, Deoxys is the space virus pokemon, so is just an alien. If you associate the two simply for the word space, you may as well establish a conection between palkia and cleffa, who is from the moon.

And thanx to mega for the 2nd opinion on the arceus thing, i like to be rite :)

You could as well say we are from space. I mean, Deoxys comes from another place, it didnt magically appear in the middle of space.

But Gofre already corrected you anyway. =/

arceus is considered a god. Key word, not a god.
hes prolly considered a god becuase he 's huge or somethign im mean dow in some islands near madagascar ppl worship the roc a giant bird.
I agree with this. Arceus might be strong and everything, but I really doubt you can catch God in a Poké Ball. It's people who have spread all the legends about it because we never see it do something, aside than its impressive (but not god-like) stats.

:o you havent submit to this thread in a while shiny. Any new ideas to share?

Thats a tricky one, seeing as we've all just thought that was dialga and palkia. But scientifically there needs to be space to lay their eggs and time for them to hatch. So may have had to. Im guessing he established space and time before passing these roles onto dialga and palkia seperately. This could be the case for most of the legends, Eg he made and shaped the earth, then gave the ability to shape it to regigigas, or once he had established the seas gave kyogre control.

This would also be an explaination to all of you who say he's not strong enough (And dont class gaming fairness as an excuse lol)

Well arceus is the god and if you look at the serebii pokedex information it says:
In diamond: It is described in mythology as the pokemon that shaped the universe with its 1,000 arms.
In pearl: It is told mythology that this pokemon was born before the universe existed.

Well id probably say that arceus was the first pokemon to ever live.

Erm yeah, thats what we've all been saying from the start. most of the creation story is soliddly established, its just the details and more mysterious pokes that I like to discuss.

Speaking of whom, does anyone see any significance in phione? not manaphy, but the stupid offspring it has lol
