Gallant: Much better, but when you do " Blah", you need to instead do "Blah," said so-and so. The " " is just for speaking. You've got everything else right, so you're definitely improving. If you would like some better critism, you can write a story and put in PC fanfiction. People are sure to give you help. Anyway, on to the post.

Congragulations, Shroomish grew to level 13 and learned Leech Seed! Oh, and Shuckle has grown to level 15! If you wish to grow more levels, mkae sure your battles are much longer and have better description. :)

"Cubone!"

Cubone was the first to make a move, charging at Ash and using Headbutt, sending the Pineco skidding back a bit "Pinecoooo" Ash's eyes narrowed as he bounced back, the headbutt not having much affect on him "Pin Missle!" Ash nodded and several spikes formed around him briefly before shooting themselves at Cubone.

"Bone!" Cubone ducked his head, allowing the hard white skull to take the hit and the pins easily bounced off the hard skull "Take Down!" Ash nodded and rushed at Cubone, ramming his head into the ground dinosaur's stomach "Cubone!" after taking the hit, Cubone quickly tightened his grip and brought his Bone around and cracked it against Ash's head, using Bone Club.

"Cooooo" Ash winced at the impact from the club meeting his head "Now, while he's up close! Rapid Spin!" Ash began to spin rapidly in place, his pines cutting into Cubone's stomach for a few moments before the dinosaur leapt away, rubbing its tummy "Cubone. Bone. Bone. Bone!" Cubone stood in place and clenched his hands tightly, concentrating as a blue aura surrounded its body.

Focus Energy.

"Cubone!" Ash was still spinning when Cubone ran at him and used Headbutt again, this time with much more force behind the attack, sending the spinning Pineco flying backwards a few feet "Bonneeeee!!" Cubone charged at Ash, swinging his bone "Protect!" Pineco instantly summoned a green sphere that surrounded it on all sides, protecting it from any attack, as Cubone pounded away at the shield with Bone Club.

"Bone! Bone! Cubone!" Cubone tried its best but couldn't break the shield. "Tackle! Then use Pin Missle" the instant the shield was dropped, Ash tackled Cubone to the ground and quickly followed up with Pin Missle, aiming for its unprotected stomach, rather than the skull on its head Cubone cried out and batted Ash away with its bone "Cubonnnneeeee" it then began to leer at Ash, freezing the Pineco briefly in place as its defense lowered.

"Bide!"

"Pineeecoo!" Ash gave a low hum as his body became engulfed in a white light "Cubonnnnnee! Bone! Bone! Bone! Bone!" Cubone beat away at the white glowing Pinecone, who took every last hit, absorbing the attacks until they could be unleashed in one big blow.

"Coooo" Ash's humming grew louder and the white light that engulfed him began to grow, with stored energy that is, all those hits from Bone Club powered up the Bide attack "Let it rip Ash!" Ash nodded and the light shot itself from his body and hit Cubone "Now use Pin Missle then follow up with Rapid Spin!"

Ash nodded and several large spikes grew on his body "Pinnneecoooo" he then began to spin, while the spikes launched at Cubone "Cubone! Bone!" Cubone swung his bone, to protect himself from the oncoming spikes and managed to knock away most of them, but a few managed to hit, one also got him right between the eyes, dazing the dinosaur momentarily before he shook it off.

"Cuboneeee"

A blue aura briefly surrounded Cubone before he began to charge at Ash, after he had stopped spinning "Take Down!" then he too began to charge at Cubone both Pokemon met head-to-head… err spike? A light dust swept up around the two and covered them "Ash!" Misa tried peering through the mini dust cloud, but couldn't, so she waited a few minutes for it to disperse.

"Pineco!"

Ash was standing in the middle of the field, bouncing happily around the defeated Cubone, who laid on its back, swirls in its eyes. Misa grinned and tossed a Pokeball at the fainted Cubone, watching as it rattled back and fourth.

[OOC: My writing muse died on me while in the middle of typing this -.- It irritated me to no end, cause I couldn't think of anything]

ShadowYashi: That's alright, I know what its like to lose inspiration. While the battle was a it short, the detail won over. :) Congrats, you have captured a male level 14 Cubone! Oh, and can you have Squirtle evolve in its next post, as it can? Or... no? Sorry, I can't remember if you wanted it to evolve or not or someone else. : /

 

[Monochrome]

The Pokemaniac quickly ran forward and excitedly picked up the ball, holding it above his head as if it were Excalibur. He simply said "Thanks" to Damian as he tossed a ball at him and ran off towards Maple City happily tapping his heels together as he skipped down the path.

Damian looked down at the ball and wondered what kind of Pokemon could be inside, obviously it must be rare if it belonged to a Pokemon collector. He tossed the ball at the ground and excitedly shifted as he excitedly continued imagining his new Pokemon. He was, to say the least surprised to see the Pokemon he had just received, he lifted his Pokedex at it not exactly 100% sure how to react.

Slakoth
It sleeps for 20 hours every day. Making drowzy those that see it is one of its abilities.

Damian put his palm over his face. "Seriously, what the hell...." Slakoth smiled and slowly crawled up Damians back resting its head on his shoulder while holding tight with his arms. Damian smiled a bit, at least he was friendly.

He began walking down the path and in front of him staring left to right holding the Pokemon on his back close. Out of the corner of his eye he could've sworn he saw a Buneary dropping eggs all over the place but he slapped himself in the face and realized he must've been hallucinating. He continued down the path striding slowly forward until his eyes met his next destination, far ahead around the rocky hills and boulder infested path he could see the red roof of a Pokemon center peaking upward. He smiled and pushed on forward.

Damian struggled through the path jumping over rocks and trying to get over the high hills to no avail. In the distance he could hear the sounds of a struggle and when he finally got close he heard witnessed two Pokemon exchanging blows, one obviously winning over the other. Damian picked up his Pokedex at the two Pokemon starting with the winning one.

Gligar
It sails on the winds with its limbs extended to strike from the sky. It aims for the prey's face.

AND

Cranidos
A lifelong jungle dweller from 100 million years ago, it would snap obstructing trees with headbutts.

Damian was shocked at how old the Pokemon must've been, he reread the data a few more times to make sure that's what it really said. Meanwhile the Gligar had struck its winning blow knocking Cranidos to the ground. Damian saw his opportunity to capture the ancient Pokemon, he grabbed a pokeball out of his pocket but was shocked to see the Gligar continuing its assault.

It grabbed Cranidos and held it high up into the sky letting him go over flat land. Damian reacted instantly and jumped forward catching the small dinosaur in his hands. Gligar rushed at him and Damian closed his eyes flinching. To his surprise Slakoth had deflected the attack with a simple swipe of his paw.

Damian looked up at the Slakoth on his back, its face changed from a lazy facade to a focused stare on the Gligar. "Slakoth use scratch attack!" Damian yelled and his sloth Pokemon threw himself forward at the Gligar lunging his arm out in a slow motion fashion.

The Gligar was sent flying back into a nearby rock and Damian stood his mouth agape shocked at the damage the dopey Pokemon did. The Glagar flew back up angered at the recent assault and sung its tail furiously launching small purple pins at Slakoth. "Dodge!" Damian yelled.

The Pokemon simply did a backwards somersault clumsily landing on his butt and dodging the attack by seconds. "Scratch again!" Damian yelled and his Pokemon nonchalantly kicked off the ground slashing at Gligars face and knocking him once more into a nearby boulder.

Slakoth laid back on the ground and began relaxing again which further frustrated the Gligar. It Flew at him clipping his side with its tail and knocking him back a few feet. Slakoth wined and then leaned up and scratched its side. "Slakoth use Encore and then dodge!"

Slakoth looked around stupidly holding its hands up in a lazy fashion began clapping them together and smiling Gligar flew at him with his tail and Slakoth artfully jumped up over. Gligars tail got caught in the boulder and began struggling to get out.

"Scratch now then use yawn!" Damian yelled and his Pokemon slashed down on Gligar with its claws. Slakoth then yawned and Gligar responded by doing the same. Gligar sped up and flew at Slakoth leaving a white trail behind him but slowed down and eventually fell to the ground asleep.

"Finish it with one more scratch King!" (Damian had decided the name after seeing the Pokemons superiority in battle) King swung his arm upward sending the Gligar flying away with a scratch. He slowly walked up to Damian and climbed up his back falling asleep on his shoulder again. Damian was glad he hadn't been totally ripped off when trading for King.

"Good job!" he said giving King the thumbs up gesture and the Pokemon responded with a similar gesture. Damian looked down into his arms and looked at the weak dinosaur still unconscious in them. He walked into the nearby cave and made a makeshift bed for the Pokemon and on the other side of the cave laid back and began to rest.

After about 2 hours the Pokemon opened its eyes and looked around the cave, it looked up at the unfamiliar Damian and then scratched its feet on the stone of the cave floor. "He's preparing to charge!" Damian thought.

Edit: Congrats, Slokath (King) has grown to level 12 and learned Mud Slap! Now watch out for that charging dinosaur!

 

[Royal]

After Squirtle leaned back up from hugging Aron, his figure started to glow white. I drew in a breath as his shape grew larger, growing ears and a longer tail. When it cleared, a Wartortle stood in Squirtle's place. My Pokedex rang in my pocket.

"Wartortle, the Turtle Pokemon. It is said to live 10,000 years. Its fluffy tail is popular as a sign of longevity." My Pokedex stated.

"War," it said proudly.

"Air," Aron awed. I smiled and laughed as Wartortle blushed. He placed one of his hands behind his head and scratched it amusingly.

Wartortle then bent down and started raising his eyebrows. "War, war, tortle," he said in a husky voice.

"Aw, come on," I laughed. "You have enough time to flirt in the next city." Wartortle and Aron looked at me like children that were just embarrassed by their parents.

"War!" Wartortle complained.

"Aron," Aron whined.

Only after a little traveling, we were closer to the next town – you could see skyscrapers from where I stood.

"Wartortle," I heard my Pokemon groan. Turning around quickly, I noticed that he was walking on all fours and Aron road on his back. Wartortle's face was twisted in a mask of discomfort. I laughed.

"What ARE you doing?" I asked. Aron looked at me and seemed to be grinning under her hard, silver shell. "He's giving you a piggy-back ride? Aw, how sweet a boyfriend is." Wartortle once more looked at me, embarrassed.

"War!" he complained. Then he grimaced. "War, war," he said to Aron. She quickly leapt off his back and Wartortle balanced himself on his two feet.

I put my hands on my hips and laughed. "What? If you two are together, you have to get what's coming to you." I laughed. I turned and motioned with my hand for the two lovebirds to follow. "Come on, we're almost there."

It wasn't long until we could see the city – beautiful skyscrapers and silver-lined buildings were built in the middle of a concrete path.

"Hey," Turning my head quickly, I noticed a boy running up to me. I recognized him as Kem from Route 1. I laughed. "Jess, it's been long, hasn't it," He said, placing his hands on his hips. His hair was spiked up and he wore a leather jacket. He turned quickly to look at the Pokemon at my side. "You've been busy," he laughed. "Did you get the first badge back in Maple City?"

I nodded. "Yeah," I said. "But I only had Heracross with me at that time."

Kem laughed. "Well, it seems you got strong," he mused. He took a Pokeball off his belt. "How about a battle then?"

I slowly nodded, a smile crossing my face.

When Kem was set across the field he threw up his Pokeball, "Icepick, you're up first," he said. After a flash of bright white light, a Wartortle appeared on Kem's side of the battlefield.

"War," it said ready.

Wartortle at my side smirked and started to step forward. "No Wartortle," I said. My Pokemon stopped in his tracks and turned to me. "Heracross hasn't seen much action," That was all I needed to say – Wartortle nodded and stepped back.

I took Heracross's Pokeball off my belt and threw it up, "Time for a battle, Heracross," I said as my shiny, pink partner appeared. He lifted his claws to the sky and shouted a ready "Hera!"

"Alright Icepick, use Water Gun," Kem commanded. His turtle Pokemon quickly took in a breath and spat out a funnel of water at Heracross.

"In the air quick, and use Aerial Ace," I shouted to Heracross. Nodding quickly, Heracross spread his bug wings and lifted into the sky before the deadly water spout hit him. Heracross spun in the air, and then quickly dived down at Icepick, slashing it with his wing.

"War," Icepick shouted painfully as it was pushed backwards by Heracross's Aerial Ace.

"Use Ice Beam, quickly," Kem shouted. Icepick opened its mouth again and aimed at my flying Heracross. Then, after taking a deep breath, it shot a white beam straight at Heracross. I gasped as the beam hit the tip of Heracross's left wing and froze the entire thing solid!

"Hera!" Heracross shouted as the weight of his frozen wing made him fall down to the ground. The ice broke off his wing as Heracross crashed to the dirt ground. He quickly balanced himself and shook off some excess water on his body.

"Pursuit," I told Heracross. He nodded quickly and ran swiftly at the Icepick, flapping his wings to give himself some momentum.

"Ice Beam now," Kem shouted. Icepick opened its mouth once more and shot out a white beam which struck Heracross dead center in the chest. I gasped as the ice grew across his body and froze him completely solid.

Kem laughed. "You didn't train Heracross that well," Kem said returning Icepick.

I hissed and quickly pulled up Heracross's Pokeball, returning the frozen shape of my partner. "Just choose your next Pokemon," I said.

Kem shrugged and took a Pokeball off his belt. "Alright," he quickly threw it up in the air and after a flash of light, the large evolution of a Houndour appeared.

"Doom!" it shouted and my Pokedex rang in my pocket.

"Houndoom, the Dark Pokemon. Long ago, people imagined its eerie howls to be the call of the grim reaper," my Pokedex stated.

I nodded to Wartortle. This Houndoom had a weakness against water and Wartortle was a water Pokemon.

Wartortle walked off onto the battlefield, encouraged by Aron's calls.

"Hmm," Kem shouted, touching his chin with his index finger. "Houndoom, let's try a Crunch attack." The large, black Pokemon nodded and jumped at Wartortle and quickly latched its teeth on Wartortle's fluffy tail.

"Wartortle!" my Pokemon shouted painfully.

"Now, show it Thunder Fang," Kem commanded. The Houndoom growled, still attached to Wartortle's tail and sparks of electricity were coming from Houndoom's mouth. All of a sudden, the electricity pulsed from Houndoom's mouth up through Wartortle. Its fluffy ears were hissing with static and Wartortle was grimacing in pain.

"Throw it," Kem commanded. The Houndoom barked and pulled Wartortle up off the ground. My Pokemon started to flail its hands, panicking, and then the Houndoom whipped its head toward me, releasing Wartortle from its grasp. Wartortle slid across the ground and landed at my feet, its tail bruised and burnt.

"You haven't been doing much training I see," Kem said, calling back his Houndoom with a hand motion. "You'll never be able to beat the second gym with pathetic Pokemon like that."

I looked at him with a mask of anger. "Kem," I hissed through my teeth. "How dare you."

Kem lifted up his arms and let them drop to his sides. "How dare me?" he laughed. "You were the one to even capture those pathetic Pokemon." He turned around and walked towards the next time. "When you get stronger, call me,"

I sighed and helped Wartortle to his feet. He was upset by his lose. "Don't be sad," I told him. "Kem's strong."

"War," Wartortle nodded.

After returning Wartortle and Aron to their Pokeballs, I continued down the path. Finally seeing the city in front of me, I sighed. This was a nice city… maybe I could train them here.

Royal: Aw, poor Heracross and Wartortle. They get an A for effort. Congrats, Wartortle grew to level 17 and Heracross grew to level 16! Now just go and do that Pokemon Center post and you will be done!

Attack of the trees post 1/3

John was still sweating because of the last battle he had. Silence was across all the room, and only the breathing of the two trainers standing looking to each other could be heard. John's eyes followed Kent as he crossed the stadium in his direction. When he reached John, Kent extended his hand on John's shoulder and said:

"Congratulations John. You have won the Maple Badge. This battle made me know that i still have much to learn, as you certainly do. I hope we battle again someday. I'll be stronger by that time. Now, take the maple badge. Its yours and you deserve it."

John extended his hand to grab the badge. He was proud. Proud to achieve something he always wished. But he also knew that that was only a beggining. Many challenges were coming up ahead, and he knew they werent to be easy. John pressed Shuck's pokeball, and with a red flash of light, the Pokemon appeared, to join Shroomish, his trainer, and Kent. Both Pokemon knew what was going on, and they smilled to their trainer's. John smilled back, and proudly said:

"Shuck, Shroomish, this is all thanks to you guys. Thanks"

"Shroomish...Shuckle..." - said the two Pokemon with a happy look on their faces.

The two Pokemon gathered at John's feet, and the three of them hug. Kent assisted the scene with a smile on his face. After it ended, he said:

"John, you have to leave now. Your father's detectives will come here to look for you. I may be able to win you some time, so you have to keep going. At this time of the day, everyone is working so they may not notice you. But be extra careful. We will meet again. And i will train much harder, till your next meeting. Good luck. Farewell"

John made a look of agreement on his face and shaked Kent's hand. With a mist of respect and friendship, the two trainers spit up, each one to follow its one way.
As soon as John got out of the gym, lots of workers could be seen, harvesting the maple trees along with their Pokemon. No one seemed to notice him. Despite this, John made himself sure that no one crossed the streets he crossed. He followed all the way, he had done with Kent from the Pokemon Center, and gave his Pokemon to Nurse Joy. As sure as they were healed, John left. His pace was quick, but not enought to show that he has actually running from something. As we peeked in another street, John noticed two shady looking man. They were all dressed in black, with black sunglasses. John quickly ran out of there, thinking at the same time:

"They are here already. I must be quick. Anyway dad sure could get something better looking. Those guys look like they were taken off Man in Black. Whatever..."

He reached a roundabout with a signpost on the middle. It could be read: "Left - Grassy Plains; Right - Pokemon Center; North - Rocky Trails; South - Pokemon gym"

John went North, till he reached a lake. Maple City was far behind now. He looked up, and noticed a path with many rockfalls, and spiky rocks.

"So this is why they call this Rocky trails?"

As soon as he tried to begin the climb, an odd tree showed up. John could swear it wasnt there a second earlier...He tried to slam it, but the tree would not move an inche...In one of the slams, the Pokedex fell from John's pocket. He quickly said:

"Sudowoodo, the imitation Pokemon
Sudowoodo camouflages itself as a tree to avoid being attacked by enemies. However, because the forelegs remain green throughout the year, the POKéMON is easily identified as a fake during the winter."

"So you're a Pokemon...Since you are a stubborn one, i cant get you to move by easy means. Lets see what i can do..."

At that instant, an old looking man showed up just behind John. John gave a creep when we turn himself and saw that man so close to him. He quickly said:

"What the ...? Who are you? What are you doing behind me?"

"I see that you are having a problem with that sudowoodo. Hes part of the family... Everytime a new trainer tries to cross this place, he shows himself, blocking the path. Follow me..."

John followed the old man, always looking at him. He looked quite weird. Maybe because of living there for so much time...When they reached close to the lake, the old man said:

"The sudowoodo will only move if you hit it with water. At this lake there are many water Pokemon you can catch. If you dont want to have the job, you can always rent one of mine, but that will cost you money...I will rent you a boat, so you'll have to pay anyway..."

"Mingy old man..." - John whispered..." I will take a boat. I may need a water Pokemon in the battles ahead."

John entered the boat. It was a wooden boat with no motor, so John had to do the job with his hands. Slowly, he advance to the centre of the lake. Something slammed the boat and John almost fell. He looked behind and a squirtle appeared. John shouted:

"See where you swim!!!!"

The squirte shoot a jet of water to John's face, and quickly vanished.

"WHATEVER...." - John said with his face all wet. In that moment a Pokemon that looked like a ball came to surface. The pokemon was blue, and had some white parts on its fur. John quickly toke out his Pokedex, that rang:

"Spheal, the clap Pokemon
It is completely covered with plushy fur. As a result, it never feels the cold, even when it is rolling about on ice floes or diving in the sea."

"Go Shroomish!!!" - With a flash of red light, the shroom Pokemon appeared in the boat. "Shroomish use absorb!!! We should have type advantage!!

The shroom Pokemon quickly tried to absorb Spheal's energy, but the Pokemon dove underwater. "Shroomish keep yourself in position for anything"... Suddenly flocks of snow begun to fall. "Snow? At this time of the year?" John looked to Shroomish. The pokemon was suffering. Every single flock of snow caused him damage. "It must be powder snow! So this Pokemon can use ice type moves as well? That leaves things much more difficult..."

Spheal came to surface once again. "Shroomish use tackle!!!" Shroomish was going to rush into Spheal but it managed to counter. With an amazing water jet being shoot out of his mouth, shroomish was being juggled in the sky. It looked like an amazing performance of a circus show. Water was rising like in a fountain, and shroomish was on top of it. "Shroomish, try stun spore!!" Lots of yellow spores got out of shroomish's head, and made their way down into the water.

With the sun making the water shine with its reflex, the two Pokemon moves looked like an amazing fountain with yellow spores falling all around it. As the wind blowed the spores, Spheal got caught. Yet, it looked to have no instantaneous effect. The pokemon moved so the spores had not worked yet. With a strong final jet of water, Spheal sent Shroomish right into the boat again. John caught Shroomish on his arms and looking endearly to the pokemon he said:

"We can give up on this one. There are tons of water Pokemon. Wanna to rest?

The Shroomish, stood up, and loudly said:

"Shroomish, Shroom"

"Well I will take that as a no then...Shroomish try leech seed"

Seeds got out of Shroomish head. Spheal begun shining, and it looked to reflect the sunrays even better than the water. It was beggining to stay with an iron looking toughness. "Not defense curl..." The seeds hit Spheal but were rebounded, falling into the water deepness...The Spheal was trying to use a move but it couldnt. It was trying harder and harder, but she couldnt move a single muscle.

"Finally stun spore!!! Now shroomish, spheal cannot defend herself! Use absorb!"

Shroomish begun to absorb green balls of energy coming all over Spheal's body. The water Pokemon looked tired, and at each second that passed, weaker.

"Now let it with me. You were amasing Shroomish. My turn now! Go Pokeball!

The red and white ball hit Spheal. With a red flash of light, the pokemon got inside. John knew what was next. He moved the boat next to the place where the Pokeball was, and waited paciently to see what would be the result. The Pokeball's button flashed from white to red, and the Pokeball was shaking. With his heart pounding, John's eyes never changed target...

Gallant: Unfortuantely, as Spheal is one of the slightly rarer pokemon, that short battle was not enough.

So, as the pokeball shook furiously, raising John's hopes, it burst open. With an angry cry of "Sphe!" Spheal Water Gunned Shroomish away, intent on continuing the battle.

 

[The Scientist]

Chapter VI: Into the Valley of Death! Part 2

The demonic statuette's humming increased in pitch as it charged another Psybeam. Remembering how had avoided battles up until this point, Neiteio tossed a few blocks of food at it. The statue completely ignored the food and resumed its charge sequence.

"It doesn't eat?! What the hell is this thing?!"

He needed backup, and anything would be better than facing that... thing on his own. Neiteio stealthily dropped his Net Ball, and Vaporeon materialized in front of him growling protectively. The doll greeted her with a full-power Psybeam, which she reflexively avoided and countered with a Sand Attack. Its glowing eyes were visible through the dust cloud, and as soon as Neiteio had recovered from the rock spray kicked up by the Psybeam's impact, he ordered a Bubble attack.

The doll had picked up on some threatening brainwaves, and before she could launch the attack, Vaporeon was lifted off the ground with the same invisible force that had been used on Neiteio earlier. After hanging in the air threateningly for a moment, she was flung into the side of the cliff. To Neiteio's surprise, she didn't seem to have taken much damage from the throw, but on regaining her footing she stumbled around confusedly. In a brief moment of clarity, she fired her Bubbles, but something was wrong: the Bubbles swirled around in an unusual pattern before arcing back and hitting their user.

Vaporeon's body flashed bright blue for as she absorbed the attack and regained her strength. By reading the subtle changes in the ambient alpha waves, the cursed doll concluded that being hit with Bubbles made Vaporeon feel... good. Switching from psychokinetic to physical attacks, the doll began spinning violently, accelerating to the point where it was a gray-brown blur before ramming into Vaporeon. The sudden switch from stationary Psychic to fast physical moves caught both Trainer and Pokemon off guard, and Vaporeon wasn't able to counter or avoid the move. Instead, when it was still at close range from its Rapid Spin, Vaporeon connectieed with a powerful Bubble that sent the doll spinning violently into the air.

Seeing that Water-type moves were apparently effective on it, Neiteio began to suspect that the "doll" may have been a Pokemon. He pulled out his PokeDex, and was somewhat surprised when the digital voice began reading the entry:

Baltoy, the Clay Doll Pokemon

An ancient clay figurine that came to life from exposure to a mysterious ray of light, Baltoy is a rare Pokemon that have been discovered in many ancient ruins. Old wall paintings show that Baltoy once lived among people. Baltoy possesses psychic powers, which it uses to Levitate and manipulate objects in the environment.​

The Baltoy had no intent on letting its weaknesses be exploited, and switched its fighting style yet again. Using its psychic powers, shifted a few keystones at the top of the cliff, triggering a small rockslide. The cliff face was slanted enough that the boulders rolled down instead of falling quickly, so Vaporeon was able to avoid most of them... but that was not the purpose of the attack: she was now surrounded by large rocks which limited her movement. Baltoy swept the ground with a Psybeam once more, threatening both her and the Trainer who were using the rocks for cover.

The Baltoy was able to read brainwaves to predict attacks and avoid or otherwise counter them, so Neiteio resolved to initiate a two-pronged attack. He lowered his brazing goggles as he shouted, "Vaporeon, charge and use Bubble!" With that he climbed up over the rock and began running at the Baltoy, while to his right, Vaporeon began darting over the rocks.

The Baltoy couldn't sort out the brainwaves of two simultaneous attackers- the one wave it was used to reading had become scrambled mess of spikes and troughs, giving it no way to predict what would happen or how to react. It panicked and began flinging the rocks around with Confusion, but Neiteio was close enough to swat it out of the air before it could do much damage. Baltoy landed on the ground near Vaporeon, who struck with another close-range Bubble.

As soon as it was down, Neiteio immediately thought that he couldn't risk the thing coming back for revenge, and he readied a PokeBall. The fact that it didn't eat meant that it wouldn't be a drain on his resources... It was a good fighter too, able to switch up its attack types at will...

Baltoy stopped the Ball in midair with Confusion, but the Capture function had already been activated and it was pulled into the hovering Ball. It fell and bounced among the rocks, shaking and jumping as the Baltoy fought to escape.

Neiteio: That was a fantastic battle! Congragulations, you have captured a male level 16 Baltoy!

Misa stared at her newly captured Cubone "Welcome to the team Cubone" she smiled softly and placed the ball in her pocket before glancing at Bell who stood by her side faithfully "Alright Bell, lets get going, the sooner we leave this place, the quicker we can get all you guys healed" Bell nodded.

It didn't take them long to finally reach an unnamed city and find the Pokémon Center and even then it only took a few minutes to give Nurse Joy her Pokémon and get them healed "Thanks a lot Nurse Joy" she thanked the pink haired Nurse and quickly exited the Center.

"Hey you!"

"Huh?" Misa glanced back to see a boy run up to her, he looked to be in his late teens, shaggy forest green hair and green eyes, wearing a white shirt under a sky blue button up shirt, that was currently unbuttoned, with some jeans and sneakers "You talkin to me?" Misa pointed to herself with a confused expression.

"Yeah, I want to battle you, well your Bellsprout I mean" he said with a grin "How do you… how do you know I have a Bellsprout?" Misa frowned at him, was he a stalker or something "Ohh. I saw you enter the Pokémon Center with one, then I waited for you to come out" he explained with a smile, as though this was normal

"Why do you want to battle Bell?"

"Because I love the Bellsprout Evolutionary line and I wanna see how strong your Bellsprout is compared to Tory and Terry!"

"Tory and Terry?"

The boy grinned in a sheepish manner and pulled out two Pokéballs from his belt "Tory and Terry come on out!" the two Pokéball's popped open with a musical snap and there was a shrill shriek followed by a low monotonous 'Weepin' Tory and Terry were a Weepinbell and Victreebel respectively.

Tory the Weepinbell, was a yellow, bell-shaped plant with a wide, gaping mouth, and green,razor sharp, leafy appendages, which droop like the leaves of a weeping plant, at the rear of its head is a brown hook which may be a remnant of the roots of Bellsprout.

Terry the Victreebel, was the same shape as Weepinbell, only upside down. There are four sharp teeth in it's mouth and Victreebel has a leaf covering its mouth that has a long, brown vine with a yellow tip growing out of it.

Misa pulled out her Pokédex and scanned them both.

A Pokémon that appears to be a plant. It captures unwary prey by dousing them with a toxic powder. If its prey is bigger than its mouth, it slices up the victim with sharp leaves, then eats every morsel.​

She then pointed the dex at Victreebel.

Victreebel has a long vine that extends from its head. This vine is waved and flicked about as if it were an animal to attract prey. When an unsuspecting prey draws near, this Pokémon swallows it whole. It pools in its mouth a fluid with a honeylike scent, which is really an acid that dissolves anything.​

After Misa snapped her Pokédex shut and placed it back in her pocket, the boy looked excited "So, do you wanna battle?" Misa looked thoughtful as she glanced at the Weepinbell and Victreebel "I dunno… but then again, I'm a bit curious to see how well Bell is up against her evolved form" she mumbled pulling out Bell's Pokéball and tossing it to the ground.

"Bellsprout!"

"What a cute Bellsprout!" the boy gushed and Misa glanced at him with a raised brow, while Bell looked confused "Sprout?"

"Oh right! I haven't introduced myself, I'm Liam and my two favorite Pokémon beside me are Tory and Terry, Weepinbell and Victreebel"

"I'm Amisa and this is Bell" Bell gave a slight wave with her leaf, still abit lost on why she had been summoned "Bellsprout?" Misa pointed to Liam, Tory and Terry "This guy wants his Weepinbell to battle you Bell" Bell blinked and looked at Weepinbell, who gave a wide smile and waved "Weepin"

"So… you wanna battle him Bell?"

The flower looked thoughtful before nodding and clenching her leaves with determination, black eyes narrowing "Bellsprout!"

"Alright then! Tory Start off with Double-Edge!"

"Sprout!?"

Bell was caught off guard by the Weepinbell's sudden burst of speed, and was tackled by the flycatcher Pokémon, sending her skidding backwards "Bellsprout!" Bell quickly hopped back up and ran at Tory "Vine Whip!" twin vines shot from Bell's leaves and whipped at Tory, who seemed unfazed by the vines whipping at its skin.

"Use Magical Leaf!"

Tory's body suddenly began to glow and then it released the glowing leaves, all of them shooting out and whirling around Bell briefly before hitting her in the face "Sprouuuut" Bell scowled and glared at Tory "Wrap Bell!"

"Duck Tory, then you use Wrap too!"

Bell shot out her vines to grab at the Weepinbell, but Tory ducked as soon as the vines reached him, pressing his body flat to the ground and then shooting back up and using the vine on his head to wrap around Bell's slim wiry frame and hold her in place.

"Now use Energy Ball!" both Bell and Misa's eyes widened as Tory's wrap tightened while he pulled Bell closer and he began to charge a dark green ball of energy, a low hum pooling in his throat "Weep" the ball began to grow in siz and just as Tory was about to close its mouth and fire off the attack, a might tremor shook the ground.

"Wh-whoah!" Liam stumbled to the ground, as did Misa, both trainers and their Pokemon looked severely confused..

As the earthquake hit, Misa just so happened to glance past Bell and Tory and look straight beyond the two Pokémon who paused in the middle of fighting and noticed a large bluish-green tower in the background… right before another tremor shook the earth "What the heck is going on!"

Headbutts Galore!

The Dino ran at Damian smashing him in the chest at full speed slamming him into a wall and knocking the wind out of him. He clutched his chest and started could feel his ribs were at least bruised. Damian reached into his pocket and pulled out a ball. "Go King!" He gasped, sending out his Slakoth.

King stretched and scratched his stomach as he was released from his ball. Cranidos craned his head furiously and began his charge again. "Dodge." Damian barely managed to get out. King jumped upwards but was caught by surprise when Cranidos jumped up and slammed King into the cave ceiling.

King winced as he got back to his feet, he was stunned but not beaten. "Mud slap." Damian commanded and his Pokemon complied slamming his fists into the ground sending a thick spray of mud into Cranidos' eyes.

Cranidos charged in rage blindly slamming into rocks and the cave walls causing tremors to go through the cave. Damian wave at King to follow him out of the cave, he knew the structure couldn't handle much more.

Damian and King just barely made it out in time before the cave collapsed behind them leaving a giant pile of rubble. Damian sighed and clutched his chest in pain. All of a sudden the rubble shifted and out of the pile came a charging Cranidos who slammed into Kings back sending him into a boulder and knocking him unconscious.

"Return," Damian said lifting up Kings ball and a red light flashed. "Go Shroom, use False Swipe!" It was becoming easier for him to speak. Shroom and Cranidos rushed a each other and Shroom stopped short going between Cranidos' legs and tackling into his back.

Cranidos stumbled forward tripping onto his own face and standing back up angrily screaming out. He charged at Shroom again and sent him tumbling backwards.

"Use Leech seed!" Damian commanded and his Pokemon quickly reared up and spat at Cranidos capturing him in a net of vines that began sapping his health away.

Cranidos began thrashing wildly tearing through the netting and releasing primordial screams. He tore through the netting like it was toilet paper and quickly began its relentless assault of headbutts. Damian racked his brain for ideas as Shroom was struck by a full strength headbutt.

Damian remembered how easily Cranidos was beaten by an airborne opponent and knew exactly what his plan would be. "Alright, return Shroom, go Buzz!"

He tossed out a Pokeball and Buzz happily buzzed around his head planting himself on Damians cap. "Go quick attack Buzz!" Damian yelled pointing at the Cranidos and his Pokemon zoomed straight into Cranidos knocking him backwards onto his bottom. Cranidos shook its head and frustratedly charged Buzz.

"Buzz, use your double team!" Buzz started speeding up and create multiple copies of itself and surrounded Cranidos causing him to become greatly confused. Cranidos began rushing around trying to slam into each clone but ended up only hurting itself. He slammed full body into a rock and stunned himself.

"Alright use your sonic boom attack!" Damian yelled and Cranidos was struck with giant waves of sound that sent him flying onto his own back. Cranidos started picking itself up and Damian yelled out again, "Use quick attack!"

Buzz flew at Cranidos as fast as possible and sent him back to the ground. Damian grabbed a pokeball out of his pocket and tossed it at the rampaging dinosaur. A giant red light flashed and forced Cranidos into the small round container.

The dinosaur continued to fight though and the ball wobbled, once, twice....... But to Damians dismay broke open again and Cranidos stood happily shuffling its feet back and forth ready for more fighting.

He charged screaming out and just barely missed Buzz. His mouth was curled up into an excited sneer and his eyes burned with ferocity. "Use sonic boom and then follow up with a quick attack!"

Buzz sent waves of sonic energy towards the small Dino but it held strong as its feet scraped along the hard ground. Buzz quickly switched gears and attempted a quick attack but was met by an oncoming headbutt that knocked him off and to the ground. Cranidos charged like a bull slamming Buzz up into a rock sandwiching him and causing him to slip into unconsciousness.

Damian returned Buzz to his ball and sent Shroom back out, this was his last opportunity to capture the Dino. Shroom was eager for battle and excitedly leaped from right to left. "Tackle!" Damian yelled and the small green mushroom slammed into Cranidos' side phasing him slightly.

Cranidos responded by smashing his head into Shroom and sending him into a boulder. "Use your Absorb attack!" Damian yelled and Shroom began sucking up energy from the ancient Pokemon who cried out in pain, thanks to a type advantage the attack was doing some serious damage.

Shroom started looking healthier and healthier thanks to the recovery effects of absorb but Cranidos was really starting to become enraged. Cranidos rushed Shroom and dark energy followed in his wake, the attack struck and broke Shrooms concentration on its absorb attack. This fight was taking much to long and Damian knew it, "Get behind me" Damian yelled to his Pokemon.

Shroom looking confused took cover behind Damian who began taunting the Cranidos. "Awwe, having trouble beating up a mushroom?" He said frustrating the battle worn Pokemon. Damian got a good look at its face and saw that exhaustion was really beginning to take over and weaken him.

The Cranidos let out a strained scream and rushed at Damian. Damian jumped to the left and as Cranidos turned to continue the chase Damian yelled, "Tackle now!" Shroom hit him from the side sending him tumbling over to the ground.

Cranidos was almost done and his strategy was defiantly losing all usefulness, obviously the headbutts were beginning to lose their luster. At started a limping run at Shroom and slowly faltered as it rushed him. "Shroom jump now!" Shrrom pushed off the ground and over Cranidos' head.

"Now use tackle down onto his neck!" Damian yelled pointing Cranidos. Shrrom went from the sky down onto Cranidos knocking him to the ground and forcing his body to become limp.

Damian pulled a ball from his pocket, "Alright, let's try this again." Damian sputtered out grabbing his ribs, they were hurting again. He tossed the ball at Cranidos and he was enveloped in a bright red light.

After you have entered Granite Town, and immediately healed your pokemon in the pokemon center, there is a terrible earthquake, and it has come from the giant tower in the very center of the town! You quickly go and investigate, only to realize that pokmon hunters are after the legendary pokemon, Rayquaza! You must travel to the top and defeat all the hunters!

Hunter 1: (Post 1)

Level: 20
Attacks: Ember, Dragon Claw, Water Pulse, Heabutt

Hunter 2: (Post 2)

Level: 20
Attacks: Thunderwave, Dragon Pulse, Aqua Tail, Hyper Beam


When you get to the boss at the third floor, you will see a giant green dragon held down by metal bindings. Talk to the boss and describe your feelings before getting into a vicious battle with him.

Level: 24
Attacks: Dragon Breath, Giga Drain, Double Team, Draco Meteor

After you have defeated the boss, Rayquaza breaks free and, with a terrible roar, the boss escapes. Now you have many options with this part. You may do absolutely anything in this situation.

A few options:

-Battle Rayquaza
-Capture Rayquaza
-Talk to it
-Heal it if its hurt
-Try and convince it to come with you.

You may do anything you like, and what you do will determine the outcome of your future, and as I'm writing this, I can't help but wonder what our favorite hero would do in a situation like this...

I rushed over to the Pokemon Center of the beautiful Granite City. There was a huge building in the middle, but it wasn't of any importance right now – my Pokemon were hurt from the travel here and I needed to heal them.

"Oh hello," Nurse Joy said turning around to face me. "Have you come to get your Pokemon healed?" I smiled and nodded. "Well then, I'll take their Pokeballs. It won't be very long." After giving Nurse Joy my three Pokeballs, I headed over to an armchair and pulled out my drawing pad. I looked over my two Heracross pictures – one of him with me and the other of him flying in the air, battling the Slugma. Flipping to the next page, I pulled out a pencil and started to sketch Wartortle and Aron together. Wartortle stood bravely to the left while Aron was on the right blushing. I smiled.

Suddenly, I felt a slight vibration in the earth and I got to my feet, flipping to the cover of my drawing pad and pushing it into my bag. I ran to the front desk clumsily as the vibration grew stronger and jerked like an earthquake. "Nurse Joy," I shouted. She ran quickly to the front with three Pokeballs on a tray.

"Oh, it's you," she said with a shock. She put the tray forward. "These are your Pokemon. Please, the earthquake's source is at the large tower in the middle of the city! Please go find out what's happening." I took the Pokeballs and nodded, running for the doors and hooking the balls onto my belt as well. When I was outside, I looked around quickly and noticed several other trainers looking around. Then, turning to the tower, I ran off. Just as I was about to enter, a man with hunter clothes emerged.

"What do you think you're doing?" he hissed, grabbing a Pokeball off his belt. "My boss is up there and you ain't getting anywhere near him and his prize!" Prize? What did this boss have?

"Go Bagon," he shouted. The Pokeball he threw opened and a blue and light grey Pokemon appeared. It had a yellow stomach and yellow ears. My Pokedex rang in my pocket – always at the wrong time.

"Bagon, the Rock Head Pokemon. Dreaming of one day flying, it practices by leaping off cliffs each day," the Pokedex stated.

I took a Pokeball off my belt and hissed between my teeth. "Whatever your boss has, I'm letting it go," I said angrily. "Go Aron!" In a flash of white light, my silver armored Pokemon appeared. "Aron use Metal Claw," I commanded. Aron nodded and jumped at the dragon Pokemon, its claws sharpening into talons. It swiped at the Bagon and made it stagger back.

The hunter hissed. "Use Water Pulse, Bagon," the hunter said. The Bagon gulped down some air and finally spat out a mouthful of water at Aron. Aron gave a surprised squeal before being hit by the powerful water attack.

"You alright?" I asked Aron. She gave a nod before charging in for a Headbutt.

"Do the same," the hunter commanded. The Bagon charged at Aron and they both collided, a loud clang being heard. The Bagon staggered back again while Aron seemed unaffected. She had a hard, iron shell protecting her.

"Great job," I said to Aron. "Use Metal Claw," Aron jumped at the Bagon and struck it with its sharpened talons. The Bagon fell down and let out a final breath before falling unconscious.

"Argh," the hunter hissed before recalling his Bagon.

"Leave," I said angrily. "Now," Aron stood beside me, as angry as me.

"You'll pay for this kid," the hunter said before running off.

When he was out of sight, I looked down at Aron, "Come on Aron, let's go see what's going on." I said. Aron nodded and we both headed into the building and up the stairs. However, we weren't in store for what was about to happen…

Royal: Incredibly short, but it seemed you were in a rush to get done because you had something to do, so its cool. Congrats, Aron grew to level 18 and learned Iron Defense!

Blackout

Damian smiled as he saw the ball snap shut with the Pokemon inside it. As his hand clasped shut on the ball he could feel his eyes rolling into the back of his head. Damian collapsed to the floor slowly seeing only flashes before submitting to unconsciousness. He heard an old mans muffled voice and saw bare feet walking at him before he was out.

He awoke in a soft warm bed in a small room. He zipped up and looked around quickly. In the corner was a table with two men staring at him, one older than the other.

"Good morning young man, you were out for some time but I'm glad to see your awake." the older man said with a kind smile, the younger one just grunted and looked upwards.

Damian leaned up but felt something weird, he looked down and noticed that not only had his shirt been removed but in its place were a set of bandages, he must've been hit a lot harder than he thought.

"You're lucky we came when we did, if we hadn't gotten to you so early the damage may have been a bit more serious. " The elderly man smiled and his younger companion continued ignoring him.

"Thank y-" Damian was cut off by the younger man who frustratedly yelled out;

"That Cranidos was mine! I've been trying to capture it for weeks, it's not fair that you should be the one to catch it!" The boy was now looking at Damian with ferocity in his eyes. Damian sat dumbfounded.


"I'm sorry I didn't know... It attacked me and I guess one thing led to another..." Damian gave a shrug.

"No need to apologize," the older man said, "my grandson is just being a big baby, obviously he didn't want it enough." He glared at his grandson. "Anyways... My name is Edan and this is my grandson Bane, you are?"

"My names Damian," He said in response, "Thank you for your help and I'm sorry about catching the Cranidos but I really need to head towards Granite Town and challenge the gym leader there." Damian stood up and threw his shirt and ski cap back on.

"Not so fast," Bane said, "not many people come by here and if your strong enough to catch Cranidos than you must be a really powerful trainer, think you could pay my grandfather and I back for our hospitality with a battle?" Bane gave a smug smile and his grandfather gave a similar expression.

"Why not," Damian said "It's the least I could do!"

The trio walked outside into the rocky terrain and Damian noticed he was much closer to the town. A pokeball rolled from Banes sleeve into his palm, he gripped the ball firmly and threw it out in front of him.

"Go Tyrogue!" A flash of light revealed a small Pokemon with its hands curled into a fist, Damian pulled out his pokedex.

Tyrogue
It is famous for its eagerness to fight and always nurses injuries from challenging larger foes.

Damian grinned, he had a perfect match, "Go King!: He yelled out tossing his pokeball. The lazy sloth Pokemon stretched and yawned and then laid down on the ground.

"You call that a Pokemon? Tyrogue use hi jump kick!" The tyrogue grinned and jumped high up into the sky and then flew down foot outstretched in a spear-like manner.

"Roll." Damian said simply and King rolled over going stomach up. Tyrogues leg hit the ground with shattering force putting a large cracks and a dent in the ground. Tyrogue grabbed its knee and closed its eyes in pain.

"Scratch now!" Damian yelled and King kicked itself forward at Tyrogue scratching at him as he flew by. Tyrogue fell to the ground in pain.

"Get up Tyrogue use mega punch!" Tyrogue grudgingly pulled back up to its feet and then using its good leg launched at King delivering a heavy punch to his chest. King flew back and tumbled onto his back where he continued to lie.

"Tackle Tyrogue!" Yelled Bane as his Pokemon took a one footed leap at Slakoth.

Damian gritted his teeth, "Mud slap King!" King slammed his hand off the ground and an explosion of liquid dirt hit Tyrogue in the face blinding him and causing him to miss his target fumbling after landing on his bad leg.

"Scratch now!" King pushed off with his hands and with on of his feet scratched Tyrogue across the face sending him to the ground in defeat.

Bane frowned returning his Pokemon while his grandfather chuckled. "Go Primeape!" Damian pulled out his pokedex and aimed it at the Pokemon.

Primeape
t grows angry if you see its eyes and gets angrier if you run. If you beat it, it gets even madder.

"Primeape, low kick go!" Primeape charged at King and slid on the ground striking him with the palm of his foot sending King upward and into a boulder. King slid to the ground but remained conscious.

"King use your scratch go!" Damian said and his Pokemon swung its arm out forward barely missing Primeape who had leaned to the right just in time.

"Primeape, use seismic toss!" Bane yelled smiling. Primeape grabbed Kings arm and tossed him full force back against the boulder knocking him out entirely.

Damian returned his Pokemon into its ball and whispered into it. "You did well, take a rest." He put the ball back into his pocket and then tossed out another.

"Go Buzz!" Buzz flew from the red light and rested upon his favorite spot on Damians cap.

"Use quick attack!" Damian said and Buzz flew into Primeape sending him back unto his rear. Primeape stood back up and began waving his arms up and down making loud cries.

"Primeape use your karate chop!" Primeape launched himself at Buzz barely missing and smashing his flat palm down on the ground. Mankey frustratedly began chanting at Buzz making loud baboonlike cries.

"Buzz use sonicboom!" Buzz sent shock waves of air in Mankeys direction, Primeape lifted his hands up to protect his face but it was a useless attempt because he went flying backwards into the ground.

"Thrash Primeape!" Primeape jumped back up to its feet and began thrashing around in complete rage. He jumped up and grabbed Buzz slamming him off the ground and then drop kicking him.

"Woah... Good job Primeape...." Bane said. "Now use your seismic toss!" Mankey gave a ravaged look around, he was highly confused. He grabbed his own legs and slammed itself upon the ground. The it stood up and ran at a nearby boulder hitting it at full force and falling back.

"W-What the hell are you doing Primeape!?" Primeape turned and ran at Bane jumping on his head and pulling at his hair.

"Buzz knock Primeape off of him, use tackle!" Buzz slammed its body into Primeape and knocked him off his trainers head. Primeapes attention quickly turned to Buzz. He jumped and started swiping away at Buzz. Buzz artfully dodged each blow frustrating Primeape even more

"Buzz use double team and then sonic boom!" Translucent clones of Buzz surrounded Primeape who bagan trying to hit each of them with his fists. Buzz continually sent waves of air at Primeape and eventually Primeape fell to the ground unmoving.

"I guess... You win...." Bane said looking towards the ground in disappointment after returning Primeape to its ball. He turn and walked back into his house slamming the door behind him. Damian lifted his hand but before he could say something Edan inturrupted him.

Damian thanked him and began back on his journey towards the town, in the horizon he could see a giant tower poking far up into the sky. He pulled out his journal and wrote in it : How is that fair, someone saves my life and I repay them by stealing a Pokemon from them and then beating them in a battle. I wonder how long I have before karma catches up with me.
