Shiny Crobat - received off GTS so may be hacked

I'm very interested in the events from Celebi to shiny Raikou! Are they legit or obtained from the DNS hack?

What's DNS?

Domain Name Server. It's an IT thing that in very simple terms, matches human words to IP addresses that network computers understand, i.e. when you search for 'Google', your DNS automatically translates that to an IP address associated with Google, such as 108.177.15.234, and uses that to tell data packets where to go to lead you to Google's website.

In this case, it means that the events were 'spoofed' (made-up) by using a custom DNS that pretends to be the one of the original Mystery Gift. If you've ever been to a physical distribution, where you can go into a store and use the "Local Mystery Gift" to obtain an event, it's very similar to that. It's also no different to injecting Wonder Cards and is considered to be another form of hacking Pokemon into the game.
