Do you want to do this over GTS, or with Friend Codes in Festival Plaza?

For GTS, catch something in the mid 20's and deposit it. Makes no difference what you catch. Should avoid crashing that way, hopefully. (Usually runs into trouble with Pokemon below level 10.)

Should i catch a fresh one or is a bank pokemon okay? Im only wondering because currently im soft resetting an ultra space mewtwo. Also ill do whatever method is easier, so i assume jsut festival plaza?

Would be fine with a Bank Pokemon.

Will try direct trading in Festival Plaza first. Experienced issues doing direct trades and GTS trades, honestly.
