So you want to ban Swift Swim on Rain Dance? No problem! There are still plenty of underappreciated Pokémon who can take advantage of the rain. And it just happens that most of them are some my favorites. So that's what makes this team so much fun. It's not conventional but it works for me. I do miss abusing Swift Swim Armaldo though. :'( Now the stars of the show!

Politoed (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Focus Blast
- Psychic/Mud Bomb/Surf
This fierce ***** right here has been a staple on all of my Rain Dance teams. People tend to rely on outspeeding Politoed to remove it from the picture. From my experience, people don't seem to expect it (I don't know the usage stats so don't jump on me if Choice Scarf is its most common set.) The last three moves are mostly filler as I usually SPAM Hydro Pump the most. The power of it backed by insta-rain is awesome. I'm considering Mud Bomb (lol) to take out annoying Electric-types on the switch even though Hydro Pump usually takes them out. But Psychic is only good for Toxicroak really. Maybe Surf if I need a reliable Water move at the end of the game.

Jynx (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Dry Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Lovely Kiss
The whole reason I wanted to try a no swimming team. People honestly don't seem to know what to do when she appears. Lovely Kiss is always used first to take out whoever they're switching in. These moves aren't resisted by much (Water/Psychics and the typical Special Walls mainly.) Fun Pokémon to use who also happens to be my favorite Pokémon in the game.

Torunerosu (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Mischievous Heart
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hurricane
- Focus Blast
- Grass Knot
- Taunt / Dark Pulse
Considering Dark Pulse in the last slot but I usually just SPAM Hurricane anyway so not sure what I want to do there. Hurricane is 100% accurate in the rain so that's fun to abuse.

Lucario (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Steadfast
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Aura Sphere
- Shadow Ball
- Vacuum Wave
- Nasty Plot
My kinda-sorta Blissey/Chansey check. Priority to take out weakened Pokémon that I used to rely on Swift Swimmers to take out. Was considering mixed but didn't want to stray from the heavy Special offense theme.

Galvantula (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Compoundeyes
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunder
- Bug Buzz
- Energy Ball
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Agility / Electro Ball
Honestly the star of the team so far. Never use Agility because its usually fast enough already. The last spot is a real toss up. I'm currently running Hidden Power [Fire] for a quick Ferrothorn check but Bug Buzz might be sufficient in the end. Any of those moves might work though.

Gorebyss (F) @ White Herb
Trait: Hydration
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Grass/Electric]
- Shell Smash
No Swift Swim? This fierce queen of the seas doesn't need your sympathy. Hydration actually lets me heal off annoying Thunder Waves that might be thrown her way. Shell Smash lets her sweep with 400+ Speed after one use. Amazing Pokémon overall.
